The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A. have decided to create a scholarship program to welcome and assist highly qualified overseas students to study in France. The program, which is part of the Quai d Orsay / Entreprises scheme with private enterprise operated by the French Foreign Ministry, is based on a public/private partnership. The uniqueness of this program is that it provides a personalized welcome and mentoring. Candidates are selected jointly by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A. and the French partner higher education institutions. This scholarship program co-financed by the CRÉDIT AGRICOLE S.A. /French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs is opened to students enrolled in an overseas institution of higher education who are from Greece, Hong-Kong (China), Italy, Japan, Poland, Serbia and Singapore. Only candidates with the nationality of one of these countries are eligible for the program. Candidates who also have French nationality (bi-nationals) are not eligible. For the 2010/2011 academic year, 10 scholarships will be awarded. AREAS AND LEVEL OF STUDY This scholarship program, co-financed by the CRÉDIT AGRICOLE S.A. /French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, covers one year of study in France in Master 2 or in masters specialized in the areas of: - Finance - Risks - Marketing - Communication - Human resources In one of these following schools (*) : - ESCP Europe - ESSEC Business School Paris-Singapore - ENSAE-ParisTech - Ecole Centrale Paris - Sciences Po Paris - University Paris-Dauphine (*) BEFORE SENDING TO THE FRENCH EMBASSY YOUR APPLICATION FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP, YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP IN ONE OF THE PARTNER SCHOOLS OR UNIVERSITY, AND SELECT YOUR COURSE OF STUDIES BEFORE THE
5 TH OF APRIL 2010. PLEASE CHECK ON THE WEBSITE OF THESE SCHOOLS OR UNIVERSITY FOR THE APPLICATION DEADLINES. Tuition and enrolment fees vary from one establishment to another. WHAT ARE THE ADVATANGES? Beneficiaries of the scholarship program co-financed by the CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A. /French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs will be granted: - By CRÉDIT AGRICOLE S.A. : o A single scholarship of 12.000 ; o A personalized support from the company ; o A paid internship in the Credit Agricole S.A.: the acceptance of this internship by the student is a sine qua non condition for the scholarship allocation. o A personalized support if you wish to pursue a career in France.. - By the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (and funded by the Embassy): o Medical and social security coverage and the status of French government scholarship student, o Entitling them to numerous benefits (simplified visa applications; a variety of cultural activities proposed by Egide, a non-profit organisation for international mobility). o Intensive French language courses before leaving for France, provided by Alliance Française in the candidate s country of origin. Program beneficiaries may also be eligible for accommodation support. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Only candidates meeting the criteria listed below are eligible for the scholarship: - Candidates who are Greek, Chinese from Hong-Kong, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Serbian or Singaporean; - Candidates must be no more than 30 years of age in the year in which they are selected; - Candidates who have previously qualified for a scholarship from the French government are not eligible for this program. Please note: - Candidates who have French nationality (bi-nationals) are not eligible; - A good command of French is not required, but it is a significant plus in the selection process and an objective to be obtained by the end of the student s stay in France. However, fluency in French may be required by the host institution of higher education if courses are taught in French; - Candidates must send their application to enroll at one of the following French partner schools or university.
SELECTION TIMETABLE - The deadline for reception of applications for the scholarship program, under electronic form, by the French Embassy of your respective country: Monday, 5 April 2010 - Candidates must have applied to enroll in one of the French partner schools or university. - The French partner school or university, in which the candidates beforehand would have applied to, will inform you if you have been selected: as of 12 April 2010. If it is the case, you will be asked in for an interview on the date that the selection committee for the program, co-financed by the CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A./ French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, will have set up. The French Embassy of your respective country will contact you. -Between the 19 April and 3rd May 2010, a pre-selection committee will be organized in your country, under the French Embassy authority. The pre-selection committee will be composed of one representative from the Culture, Science and Education department, of one representative from the Economic department and of one representative from the CREDIT AGRICOLE group S.A. - The applications of the selected candidates will be sent, under electronic format, by the French Embassy, of your respective country, to the central committee of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs : on the 6th May 2010 at the latest. - On the 20th May 2010, based on the proposal of the pre-selection committee of your respective country, the final selection of the 10 program beneficiaries will be jointly made by CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A. and the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. You will then be informed by the French Embassy: if you have been selected for the scholarship grant, cofinanced by the CREDIT AGRICOLE S.A./French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, under the condition of definitive enrollment in the French partner schools or university that you would have applied to, or if your application has been rejected. THE BENEFICIARIES WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE ENROLLED IN THE FRENCH PARTNER SCHOOLS OR UNIVERSITY.IT IS UNDER THE STRICT CONDITION OF BEING ACCEPTED BY THE SCHOOL OR UNIVERSITY THAT THE CANDIDATES WILL BE OFFICIALLY DECLARED BENEFICIARY OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGAM CO-FINANCED BY THE CREDIT AGRICOLES.A./FRENCH MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS. To decide between applicants with similar skills and qualifications, preference will be given to students from low income backgrounds. The selection committee s proceedings are not made public, its decisions are final and no reasons shall be given for the decisions made.
