Please see the transfers and bill payment sections for important system cut-off times. Q. Will I be able to view statement history from my SBT online banking? A. You can access your SBT online banking until 8 a.m. CDT Monday July 28 th. To ensure you have access to the historical data after this date, please download any deposit or loan documents you want to retain access to by Sunday July 27th. Q. How will I be able to access my online account information on July 28 th? A. Navigate to www.mbtx.com and on the right hand side of the screen, under Online Banking, enter your current SBT online banking ID (all letters are in lower case) and click on continue. Your temporary password is the last six digits of your social security number or federal tax ID number. For important security information, please view the Step-Up Authentication section. Q. After logging into my new MBTX online banking, why do I see more deposit or loan accounts than I did with my SBT online banking? A. All accounts you are an owner of are automatically displayed within online banking. To help distinguish your accounts you may add a description by clicking on the customer service tab and select customize your accounts. Q. I am a business customer; do I select Business Online Banking or Online Banking to access my account? A. Business customers using ACH or Wire services will select Business Online Banking to access their account information. If you are using these services the Treasury Management department delivered a personalized Welcome Packet with special log in credentials and instructions. Passwords Q. What are the MBTX online banking password requirements? A. After typing in your temporary password (last six digits of your social security number or federal tax ID number), you will be required to create a new password. The new password must be alphanumeric (consisting of both letters and numerals), a minimum of 8 characters and maximum of 12 characters. The new password is case sensitive. Q. I just changed my password, why am I getting an email? A. Security of online banking is very important to the bank, therefore we notify you via email when your password is changed. If you did not initiate the change to your password, contact the bank immediately at 817-334-4627. Q. My password is not working, who can I call? A. Contact 866-224-2858 for 24X7 password resets. estatements Q. I was enrolled in SBT deposit account estatements. Will I be automatically enrolled to receive MBTX deposit account estatements? A. You will need to reenroll within online banking by clicking on Statements and changing the delivery method to online. The first month, you will receive an online statement and a paper statement. Q. Can I see my check images on my estatement? A. Yes, estatements have check images attached. Q. How long are the estatements available within online banking? A. estatements are available in online banking for seven years starting with the first statement that will be produced for you in August 2014. Transfers Q. Will I be able to process a transfer through my SBT online banking? A. You can process a transfer until 5:30 p.m. CDT on July 25 th. Between 5:30 p.m. CDT on July 25 th and 8 a.m. CDT on July 28 th the online banking system will be view-only. Q. Will I need to add my scheduled transfers again? A. No, we will convert your current transfers and scheduled transfers from the SBT online banking to the MBTX online banking. July, 2014 Page 2 of 7
Bill Payment Q. Will I still be able to process my Bill Payment transactions through my SBT online banking? A. Yes. You can process a Bill Payment until 12:00 p.m. CDT on July 25 th. Between 12:00 p.m. CDT on July 25 th and 8 a.m. CDT on July 28 th, the Bill Payment system will be view-only. Q. Will I be able to view bill payment history from my SBT online banking? A. You can access your SBT online banking until 8 a.m. CDT Monday July 28 th, to ensure you have access to the bill payment history after this date, please download the data by July 27th. Q. Will I need to enter all of my Bill Payment transactions again? A. No. We will convert your Bill Payees and scheduled transactions from the SBT online banking to the MBTX online banking. Q. On several of my Bill Payments, I had keyed in additional information as a memo on the bill. Will I have to reenter this information? A. Yes. When you navigate to the Make Payments screen within Online Banking, each biller that receives a check will have an Add memo link. Use this link to add additional information. To ensure you have access to the memo information, please download the data from the SBT online banking system by July 27th. Q. When I process a Bill Payment when will my checking account be charged? A. When scheduling a Bill Payment, the date you enter into the calendar is the Send On date. The Send On date is when the funds will be taken out of your account. July, 2014 Page 3 of 7
Electronic Bills (ebills) Q. I understand that I will now have access to electronic bills (ebills). What are these? A. An ebill is an electronic version of a bill that you receive in the mail and is typically presented from a utility or credit card company. As an example, if you have Charter Communication as a payee you will notice that there is a link called Set up: ebill under the payee s name. Select the link and follow the on screen instructions. Charter will stop mailing paper statements to your home and they will begin sending an electronic copy directly to your online banking. Quicken Q. I use Quicken, how do I connect my MBTX account to Quicken? A. Within Quicken, navigate to your Account List and click on the edit button next to the account in question. From the Account Details screen, click on the Online Services tab and deactivate your current connection to SBT. Click on Set up now and search for the bank s entire name Meridian Bank Texas. Select Express Web Connect and follow the remaining prompts. QuickBooks is not supported in online banking, to use QuickBooks please contact our Treasury Management department at 817-334-4612. Online Banking: Step-Up Authentication Q. What is a one-time security code? A. The first time you access your online banking from a new computer, the system will validate your identity using your phone number that is in the system. If your phone number is not available in the list; contact your local banker for additional instructions. If your phone number is not available, then navigate back to the log in screen and select the answer verification questions. The system will try and validate your identity using publicly available information that is specific to you based on your first name, last name, and birthdate. Mobile Banking Q. With SBT I liked to access my accounts on my smart phone, can I still do that? A. MBTX does offer mobile banking through a published Apple and Google App and through any internet enabled phone by navigating to m.mbtx.com. You can use MBTX mobile banking starting on Monday July 28 th. Q. How do I log in to the mobile banking App? A. After downloading the App or navigating to the website, enter in your online banking user ID and password and follow any prompts. Q. What features does MBTX mobile banking offer me? A. MBTX mobile banking provides you with the ability to view account balances, search recent account activity, transfer funds, and pay bills. There is no bank charge for this service, however there may be charges associated with text messaging and data usage on your device from your phone provider. Q. Can I pay bills through mobile banking? A. Yes, once the bill payment has been set up using online banking then the bills can be scheduled within mobile banking. Q. Can I transfer money between my accounts using mobile Banking? A. Yes, after you have completed at least one transfer within online banking then you will be able to complete a transfer within mobile banking. Q: Does MBTX offer Text Banking? A. Yes, text banking gives you access to your accounts via text (SMS) messages on your phone.
