( Must be entering Kindergarten fall of 19) Please Contact Mrs. P for questions and applications for eligibility. We hope to serve some of our E L families!! Bucks County hopes to receive PRE-K COUNTS grants/ scholarships from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The scholarships allow families with children (ages three and four years old) to apply for entry in a high quality, half-day or full-day pre-school program at no cost to the family. The belief is that early education will make children more ready to learn when they enter kindergarten. We are currently accepting applications for our 1/2 daypre-school program for the 2018-2019 school year. Residents of Bucks County must meet financial guidelines for this five days-a-week 1/2 day pre-school program. A family of four may earn up to $66,000 a year and still qualify. In addition, families who have English as a Second Language, CCIS and/or have other risk factors will be given preference. Families can request an application or ask questions by contacting the representatives listed below. You are encouraged to share this information with other eligible families whose children may benefit from a high quality early learning experience to enhance future success. When You Thought I Wasn t Looking Author Unknown When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be special in life. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick. I learned that we have to take care of each other. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who have nothing. I learned that those who have something should give to those who don t. When you thought I wasn t looking, I felt you kiss me good night, and I felt loved and safe. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you handle your responsibilities, even when you didn t feel good. I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw tears come to your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it s all right to cry. When you thought I wasn t looking, I learned from you most of life s lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up. Thanks for all I learned when you thought I wasn t looking.
