The Strategy centres on a ten point plan which addresses four priorities: - and Leadership - Customer Service - Chef Skills - Retention The Sector Qualification Strategy was published in January 2008. Current challenges include skills gaps and shortages for managers, craft occupations and in customer service. 64% of the workforce are qualified to level 2. 9% of the workforce do not possess the skills their employers require. 66% of employers are training employees.
