SP Term Cloud Installation SP Term Cloud User Solution Installing the user solution 4. Click Solutions from the Galleries section 5. Click on the Solutions tab on the SharePoint ribbon 6. Click on Upload Solution 7. Select the SP Term Cloud user solution file by clicking Browse and selecting the file metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp and then click OK. 8. After the upload click the Activate button 9. You have successfully installed SP Term Cloud and should see an item in the Solutions library for metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp with the status Activated. Adding the SP Term Cloud web part to a page 1. Navigate to your SharePoint site logged in as a user with permissions to edit a web part page. 2. Click on the Page tab on the SharePoint ribbon 3. Click on the Edit button 4. Click on the Insert tab under Editing Tools 5. Click the Web Part button on the ribbon 6. Select the Content Rollup category in the Categories pane 7. Select the SP Term Cloud (User Solution) web part in the Web Parts pane 8. Click the Add button 9. Click on the Page tab on the SharePoint ribbon 10. Click Save and Close SP Term Cloud User Solution license activation 4. Click SP Term Cloud Site License from the Site Collection Administration section 5. Assuming you have purchased a valid license key, click Activate License at the end of the SP Term Cloud line. [If not click buy to purchase a new license] 6. Type the License Key you received via email after purchasing SP Term Cloud 7. If you are connected to the internet: a. Click the Activate License button. If the activation is successful the license page will show a status of Valid. If a failure occurs contact support@metaengine.com with the details. 8. If you are NOT connected to the internet:
a. Click the Download Request File button. Save the request file and email it to license@metaengine.com. b. You will receive an activation file in reply. c. From the SP Term Cloud Site License page click Upload License Activation file and select the activation file named x_sptermcloudusersolution_site_yyyy.txt where yyyy will be a 32 character Site Collection ID displayed at the top of the upload page. d. Click Upload File. If the activation is successful the license page will show a status of Valid. If a failure occurs contact support@metaengine.com with the details. Upgrading the user solution 4. Click Solutions from the Galleries section 5. Click on the Solutions tab on the SharePoint ribbon 6. Click on Upload Solution 7. Select the SP Term Cloud user solution file by clicking Browse and selecting the new solution file e.g. metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.1.0.wsp and then click OK. 8. After upload click the Upgrade button. 9. You have successfully upgraded SP Term Cloud and should see an item in the Solutions library for metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.1.wsp with the status Activated. Uninstalling the user solution 4. Click Solutions from the Galleries section 5. Check the box next to the item metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp 6. Click Deactivate from the Solution tab on the SharePoint ribbon 7. Check the box next to the item metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp 8. Click Delete from the Solution tab on the SharePoint ribbon SP Term Cloud Farm Solution Installing the farm solution 1. Add Solution to SharePoint Farm a. Log in to a SharePoint server in your farm as a SharePoint farm administrator. b. Run the following command from a Windows command prompt:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\stsadm -o addsolution -filename "<full_path_to_the_farm_solution>\metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp" 2. Deploy Solution to Web Application(s) a. Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration from the Start menu under Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products. b. Click on the System Settings menu item in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration. c. Click on the Manage Farm Solutions link. d. Click on metaengine.sptermcloud.farm.1.0.0.wsp. e. Click on the Deploy Solution link. f. Select the Now option under Choose when to deploy the solution: g. Select which web application you would like to deploy the solution under Choose a web application to deploy this solution: h. Click OK. 3. Activate Solution for Web Application(s) a. Load the Site Collection Features administration page for the site collection hosted in the web application that the solution was deployed to in Step 2. For example, if your site collection is located at http://sharepoint/mysite then go to http://sharepointserver/mysite/_layouts/managefeatures.aspx?scope=site b. Locate the row titled SP Term Cloud and click on the Activate button next to it. Adding the SP Term Cloud web part 1. Click SP Term Cloud Server Licenses from the SP Term Cloud section 5. Log in to a SharePoint server in your farm as a SharePoint farm administrator. 2. Ensure that the SharePoint 2010 Administrative Service is running by running the following command from a Windows Command Prompt: net start SPAdminV4 3. Run the following command from a Windows command prompt (note: if your initial install was not version 1.0.0 replace the name parameter as appropriate): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\stsadm -o upgradesolution -immediate -allowgacdeployment name metaengine.sptermcloud.farm.1.0.0.wsp -filename "<full_path_to_the_new_farm_solution>\metaengine.sptermcloud.site.1.0.0.wsp" 4. Run the following command from a Windows command prompt to perform the Feature upgrade replacing the web application URL as appropriate: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs 5. Check the Solution has deployed by looking in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration > System Settings > Manage Farm Solutions > metaengine.sptermcloud.farm.1.0.0.wsp check the Last Operation Time and the Last Operation Result. 6. Run the following command from a Windows command prompt to perform the Feature upgrade across the farm: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\stsadm -o upgradesptermcloud Uninstalling the farm solution 7. Log in to a SharePoint server in your farm as a SharePoint farm administrator. 8. Ensure that the SharePoint 2010 Administrative Service is running by running the following command from a Windows Command Prompt: net start SPAdminV4 9. Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration from the Start menu under Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products. 10. Click on the System Settings menu item in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration. 11. Click on the Manage Farm Solutions link. 12. Click on metaengine.sptermcloud.farm.1.0.0.wsp.
13. Click on the Retract Solution link. 14. Select the Now option under Choose when to deploy the solution. 15. Select which web application you would like to retract the solution from under Choose a Web application to retract this solution. 16. Click OK.
