Backup Systems Have you made a PCDART backup today? Have you made a backup of your spreadsheets? Have you backed up your financial data? How many hours (or days) will you spend trying to recover or recreate your data in the event of a system failure? Many farms are now backing up PCDART but we do not often backup other critical farm files. Data loss can come from many different sources computer failure due to old hardware, power fluctuations from storms and generators, viruses and even human error. Dairy One has a complete backup system that can help safeguard your farm against data loss. Dairy One backup systems provide file level backups and optional secure cloud storage for your most critical files. Dairy One backup systems allow farms to share files for set periods of time with consultants, nutritionists and other important team members through an emailed link. Dairy One backup systems can backup multiple computers on the same network. Dairy One backup systems allow for fast recovery from data loss. Contact us for more information about how we can make your data more secure. Meet your PCDART Support Team Both Dave and Dan bring a wealth of herd management record experience to the support team. Don t hesitate to utilize this resource if you have questions or ideas of what information you need to make informed herd management decisions. PCDART Reports Rapid Response Response for input and lookup is faster especially for larger herds and on older computers. Activity Tracker has been enhanced for quick response. This version significantly improves the performance when posting any events that create a new animal (calving's, new animal, etc.) as well as many data inputs. Lookup functions for cow page, etc. will respond faster. Improvement will be most noticeable in larger herds and on older computers, or in herds that retain a lot of health data. For larger herds where speed is a concern, additional input response can be gained by turning off the Show Action Lists option in File / Program Setup / Show Action Lists. Herds with 1,000 or more active cows will automatically have the Action List display turned off when 7.16.6 is installed. However, you have the option to turn ON the Show Action Lists option. Replaces File / Program Setup / Turbo Input option (see setup screens below) NEW 7.16.6 - File / Program Setup Larger Herds may want to turn off the Show Action Lists option for improved response time. OLD 7.16.0 - File / Program Setup Page 3 of 8

Interfaces New and enhanced interfaces enable precise data management. Enhancements to Interfaces Herds with multiple MMI systems and one PCDART system will now be supported; data will be sent to respective parlors using group number. Refined procedures for entering MMI and HMS transponders in PCDART to accommodate variations by vendors in MMI and Heat Monitoring systems. Interface programs were modified to match manufacturer system updates. Enhancements to Interfaces Delaval - Alpro / Delpro Added sort gate interface If Reset Trans in Dartmast is selected in PCDART, transponders or RFID (if used) will be updated. Extensive changes made to minimize edit conflicts when PCDART status changes are sent to Alpro / Delpro. Major enhancement to interface with Delpro version 4.1 and later. Transfer cows can easily be added to Delpro. SCR DataFlow II Added new milking system interface. Herd startup will send all animals regardless of tag number; day to day data entry will send only animals with tags. afimilk - AfiFarm Now allows 2 alpha numeric characters when sending parlor alerts to AfiFarm. Option added to not send ID to reduce ID conflicts when sending data to AfiFarm. GEA - DairyPlan Added interface for Robotic herds (version C21). Barn name can be sent when adding a new animal (not just on startups). BouMatic - SmartDairy Heifers can now have transponder numbers sent to SmartDairy. Heat Management Systems (HMS) SCR: Startup will send all animals; day to day data entry will send only animals with transponders. SCR, ENGS, SensOor: now sends a positive preg check if animal has S repro code. Other On-Farm Management Systems AfiFarm interface now provides correct ID information on all animals. CAR codes have been revised to better match codes in Dairy Comp 305. Enhanced test day interface with Delpro to get barn name information. Page 4 of 8
