Consultants are charged on a time and materials or fixed price/results basis and are based at your location. Skilled in Big Data software, Hadoop (Hadoop certified), MongoDB and/or Splunk our experts have a minimum of 5 years experience with track records on some of the most exciting Big Data projects internationally. We can support you in: Gaining visibility of all your current Big Data/Data-warehouse/Database systems Defining your requirement and future benefits and helping you to define a business case Assessing your current systems against the requirement Design and architecture of a Big Data Cloud based solution Implementation and roll out of the Big Data solution (including integration with the Cloud) Ongoing support and training Our Big Data team consists of 40 experienced consultants who have skills in: Hadoop, Cloudera, Hadapt, Hortonworks, Hbase MongoDB, MarkLogic, Cassandra, Solr We offer a competitive pricing structure, with discounts for long term engagement and faster payments. 1

The Consultants we provide under go stringent checks to ensure their suitability for your requirement and compliance with UK law. The checks cover the following: Eligibility to work in the UK Criminal records check Background screening (proof of address, employment history and qualifications) Technical skills assessment Written and verbal communication skills Security Clearance* *When supplying to Public Sector organisations which require Security Clearance we check the site where the individual last held Clearance. We are not X-Listed. We will provide all possible information for submission to your Security Controller to enable the transfer or check of a Security Clearance. Service Management After initial contact, the GSA Business Manager takes responsibility for ensuring you achieve the outcome required, acting as the single point of contact throughout the relationship. Our Business Managers are contactable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by telephone, mobile or e-mail. Business Managers are trained in requirements gathering and follow a clear process for defining your needs. Upon engagement a secondary point of contact is also assigned in case of sickness or leave. The Business Manager is responsible for working with you to select a Consultant who fits into the culture of your organisation. After engagement a regular review takes place, typically at your location, to assess our performance in the achievement of your goals. On-boarding processes Once the requirement has been defined by your GSA Business Manager and authorised by you, Consultant profiles are presented to you for selection. We actively encourage you to interview the Consultant over the phone to assess their suitability both culturally and technically for working within your organisation. Upon the selection of a Consultant a Schedule is raised for your approval via our web based authorisation system, EchoSign. The Schedule contains the daily rate, start and end dates, termination period and the requirement definition. Service Levels After you have approved the requirement, in most cases it takes us circa 7 days to assess our Consultants for suitability. Should the requirement need a particular niche technical skill, the timeframe might need to be revised. Upon engagement our Business Manager will draw up a Project Plan for your approval, detailing time scales, actions and results. 2
Service Constraints During particular busy periods it may require us to delay the start of a Consultant, where we do not have availability. Should this be the case you will be advised as early as possible during requirements definition. Training Upon completion of the development work our Consultant can provide training charged at the agreed day rate. Our Consultants are selected partly on their ability to transfer their specialist knowledge to clients. Ordering and Invoicing Process A purchase order will be required prior to the Consultant starting detailing the agreed number of days or fixed price billing points. In the case of time and materials Consultants you ll be provided with access to a web based timesheet management portal for approving the Consultants timesheets. Invoices are raised and submitted weekly or monthly dependant upon your preference. For fixed price contracts invoices are raised upon the achievement of a fixed price billing point, detailed in the project plan. Payment terms are 30 days. Termination Terms The contract can be terminated according to the notice period set out in the Schedule. Typically this is 2 weeks. The notice period can be set in line with your requirements. 3
