At the 2013 RS:X Class AGM held in Buzios, Brazil in February, Carlo Dalla Vedova has been elected new President of the Class. Under the new governance the legal case with ISAF has been settled giving a new beginning of the relationships. In the 2013 the RS:X Class has run 4 major championships: 2013 RS:X WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 1st-6th March, Buzios, Brazil A successful event despite lower then average participation caused by the turbulences of previous year. 107 Competitors (66 Men and 41 Women) from 29 countries and 5 continents enjoyed this grate event. Maayan Davidovich (ISR) 2013 RS:X EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 1st-7th July, Brest, France The 2013 RS:X Europeans were staged together with the Youth Europeans gathering 238 RS:X sailors from 37 countries and 5 continents and becoming a grate windsurfing fiesta. 2013 RS:X YOUTH EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 1st-7th July, Brest, France 117 youth sailors (73 youth men and 44 youth women) from 20 countries and 5 continents participated together with senior fleet on the waters of Brest, France. Participation increased almost double comparing to last two years: 2012-63 sailors (41YM, 22YW); 2011-64 sailors (46YM, 18YW) YOUTH MEN 1. Bautista Saubidet Birkner (ARG) 2.
