Warren M. Barnett, CFA Founder & President Warren Barnett is Founder and President of Barnett & Company. He graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Mr. Barnett was associated with the investment banking fi rm of Kidder, Peabody & Company and the investment counseling fi rm of Davidge & Company in Washington before returning to Chattanooga to accept a position in the trust department of a local bank. Perceiving the local need for the type of fi rms with which he was associated in Washington, he established Barnett & Company in 1983. Mr. Barnett received the Chartered Financial Analyst professional designation from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, Charlottesville, Virginia in 1986. Christopher A. Hopkins, CFA Vice President, Investments Chris Hopkins is Vice President, Investments for Barnett & Company. He is a native of Whittier, California and has lived in Chattanooga since 1988. Mr. Hopkins received Bachelor s degrees in Physics and Economics from California State University at Fullerton, and earned his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He began his career in finance at Merrill Lynch, following twenty years in manufacturing management. He joined Barnett & Company in 2004. Mr. Hopkins holds the Chartered Financial Analyst professional designation and is a past president of the CFA Society of Chattanooga. He is an adjunct professor of Finance at UTC, and serves on the Finance Advisory Board of the College of Business Administration. He writes a biweekly column for the Chattanooga Times Free Press on finance and economics. He is a member of the CFA Societies of Chattanooga, North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as the National Association for Business Economics and the American Economic Association. Jonathan Emanuel Portfolio Manager Jonathan Emanuel is a Portfolio Manager for Barnett & Company. He graduated from Tennessee Temple Academy High School in Chattanooga. From there Mr. Emanuel received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tennessee Technological University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. After completing his bachelor s degree, he was commissioned and served seven years on active duty as a United States Air Force officer. Mr. Emanuel joined Barnett & Company in 2009 after two years as a financial advisor with a regional brokerage firm. He is a candidate for the CFA designation. Robert Crabtree Director of Marketing Robert Crabtree is the Director of Marketing for Barnett & Company. He provides public relations and marketing services for the firm. Mr. Crabtree has been living in Chattanooga since 1975 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Prior to joining Barnett & Company, he was in administration and public relations for a publishing company and has worked in sales and marketing for the past ten years. The setting for Robert s photograph: The majestic New York Peace Memorial stands 95 feet high on the crest of Lookout Mountain at Point Park, a reservation of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Constructed of Tennessee marble and Massachusetts granite, the monument is one of the Park s most beloved icons. It was added to the Park by the State of New York in 1910 to commemorate America s reunification after the Civil War. She is from Harrison, Tennessee and has lived in the Chattanooga area her entire life. Mrs. Hobbs received an Associates Degree in Computer Technology from Chattanooga College in 1992. She has been employed in the banking sector for 17 years with both large corporate and small community banks. She is originally from Huntsville, Alabama and has lived in Chattanooga since graduating from Auburn University in 2009. Mrs. Monroe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Prior to joining Barnett & Company, she spent two years as a preschool teacher for a local learning center.
