ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Apply online. It s easy and free! Complete your online application at udayton.edu/apply. You must have an undergraduate cumulative average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. If you have less than a 2.75 cumulative average, you must take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). For further information, contact Gina Seiter at 937-229-3103. Submit official academic transcripts directly from all previously attended colleges or universities. Include three letters of recommendation from qualified individuals. Submit your personal statement. Indicate on your application if you are interested in being considered for an assistantship. You will be contacted to schedule a small-group interview with program faculty.

COURSE OF STUDY PROGRAM DETAILS The 60-semester hour master s degree program in clinical mental health counseling is a generalist curriculum that will prepare you for a career involving the prevention and treatment of mental and emotional disorders. You can become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and work in community agencies, hospitals and clinics, as well as in private practice. You ll be able to provide counseling and psychotherapy for clients who are struggling with mental and emotional disorders, substance abuse, family and relationship difficulties, and career development needs. FINANCIAL AID To receive a formal financial aid award as a graduate student, you must be admitted to the University of Dayton. For loan and grant consideration, you are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available at fafsa.gov. Submit the FAFSA to the processing agency and list the University of Dayton (code #003127) to receive your aid results. Although financial aid information is processed throughout the year for graduate students, May 1 is the priority consideration deadline. It is recommended that you submit your completed FAFSA to the processing agency by May 1 for financial aid consideration for the upcoming fall, spring and summer semesters.
