Referee Seminar All referees officiating at the championships are requested to attend the seminar presented by Con Kassis, Chairman, WKF Referee s Commission. The seminar will include a briefing of the new WKF proposed rules to be applied in nominated categories at these championships. The seminar will also present Shito-Ryu technical training including Shitei Kata. 2011 Sydney International Karate Championships General Information & Conditions of Entry 1. Entry Form must be completed honestly and accurately. Online registration is acknowledging and accepting all conditions. 2. AGE IS DETERMINED BY THE AGE A COMPETITOR WILL BE ON THE DATE OF THE EVENT. 3. WKF (World Karate Federation) rules will be applied to this tournament and modified at the discretion of Karate Australia. Some events may be officiated using the Judge Mirror System. 4. Competitors are responsible for their own Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance including Participation (Member to Member) & Sports Injury / Accident cover. 5. Children/Cadets/Juniors may not enter more than one (1) age/weight category. 6. Senior Kumite maximum age is 45 yrs. 7. * Veterans Kumite 35 Yrs & Above Competitors 45 yrs and above must supply a medical clearance with their entry form. 8. The organisers reserve the right to combine or cancel divisions where there are insufficient entries. 9. Only NCAS (or international equivalent for international based coaches) qualified coaches will be permitted in the competition area and all coaches must wear club/state tracksuit. Kumite COMPULSORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT 1. Groin Guards (Males) and Mouthguards and WKF/AKF approved red and blue Mitts All competitors. 2.
