TRAINING COURSES Thursday, October 24 HRPyramid Vision Training October 24, 2013 9:00 am 12:00 pm Adam VanBeek This will be the first training session offered for this evolutionary new version of HRPyramid! Learning to use HRPyramid is like learning to ride a bike. Upgrading to HRP Vision will be like upgrading your bike to a new Tour De France race bike. It may look different and feel slightly uncomfortable at first, but you'll soon be attacking your payroll "mountains" with ease on this new version of HRP. Topics to be covered: System Architecture o In this section we'll look at how HRP Vision is architected from a technical perspective including a review of the new technology stack. This will be the most technical topic covered but will be presented in a way understandable to a non- technical audience.

User Interface o Although everything under the covers will be familiar to long- time HRP users, the most striking difference with HRP Vision is the new browser- based user interface. Here you will learn how to navigate HRP Vision using either the new menu system or search- based navigation method. We will also cover the range of keyboard options available and how to interact with the new web forms for entering and editing HRP data. Role- based User Setup o HRP Vision was designed to be a single "vision" platform. That is, the same interface applies to both internal and external (client worksite) users. In this section we will cover the new roles- based methodology for configuring user access to system features. Data Security o Here we will cover the data security model used to limit the access of external users to specific data sets. Payroll Workbench o "Payroll Workbench" is the next generation of the tried and true "Super Batch". This section will provide an in- depth look at the new graphical and highly intuitive interface designed specifically to maximize your payroll processors productivity. Time Sheet Entry o Here we look in- depth at the new HRP Vision time sheet entry form. While the best features of our traditional batch time sheet entry screen have been retained, a number of exciting new features have been incorporated into the new form and these will be covered in detail here. Reporting o This section will cover the range of reporting options available in HRP Vision including the new browser- based report delivery system, which will greatly expand the inventory of reports available to external users. Employee Self- Service o The Employee Self- Service has been re- written from the ground up using the latest web technology available resulting in a much more modern and intuitive user interface. This section will provide an overview of the new interface as well as explore new user- configurable options. New Features o All of the currently relevant functionality of HRPyramid has been retained in the HRP Vision platform. In addition we've taken advantage of the new technology platform to enable the delivery of some exciting new features such as analytics and process workflow. Several new application modules are being introduced with HRP Vision as well. This section will highlight most of these new features. Upgrading to HRP Vision o An overview of the process for upgrading will be included in this section. Who Should Take this Training This training class is appropriate for all customer types (cloud and on- premise) and all levels.

Make Connections with HRPyramid s API October 24, 2013 1:00 pm 4:00 pm Ben Souther In this training session we will get into the nuts and bolts of programming to, configuring and securing the HRP Open API. Configuration and Security o Understanding HRP's fine grained security model for granting external applications access to the underlying data and business logic in HRP Web Service protocols o Learn what protocols (SOAP, REST) and what data exchange formats (XML, JSON) are supported by the HRP API. Understanding the HRP Data Model o Attendees will gain a good understanding of the data model's hierarchy and how to tune web service requests to insure that web service requests return the correct amount of information needed for their specific operations. Synchronization and Monitoring o Learn how to monitor activity in HRP in order to keep your external application in sync. Learn how your application can register with HRP to be kept informed of data changes such as employee address changes, pay rate changes etc. Operations o Learn what things can be added and changed within HRP by your application via web services while still relying on the validation and business rules built into HRP. Looking forward o This is an opportunity to help shape the direction of HRP's open API. By communicating, one on one, with the FWDCO engineering staff, you will be able to let us know what your needs and future expectations are for HRP's API. Benefits of Attending This class covers the new, third generation of the web service API for HRP. This version is a radical overhaul from previous versions and offers much more access to the data and business functionality inside HRP. Attendees will leave with a firm understanding of the capabilities of HRP's API as well as clear path for integrating their own applications with HRP. Target Audience / Pre- Requisites
