Complete the Magnet Schools & CTA Online Parent Registration. After answering all of the required fields, click Register. An account has been created and the parent/guardian will now be logged into the system.

Selecting the Grade (Next Year) reveals the Program Choices available to the applicant. Select the Theme, by clicking on Add Choice 1 After the Theme is selected, the list of programs and schools will be shown. To add additional choices, click Add Choice 2 and select the Theme and Program.
After Program choice(s) have been selected, the parent/guardian must read the Agreement of Understanding. * A copy of the Agreement of Understanding is at the end of this document After the Agreement of Understanding has been read, click I agree to the terms listed above and click Submit. Agreement of Understanding By clicking below, I acknowledge my understanding of the following conditions for this application: This application is valid for the 2013 2014 school year Secondary Magnet/CTA students who enroll for less than a three (3) year program or enroll in individual classes are not eligible for sports at the Magnet/CTA for 180 school days. Students who drop from the Magnet/CTA program will become automatically ineligible for sports at the Magnet/CTA for 180 school days. If a student chooses to return to his/her school residence, he/she would be ineligible for the remainder of that school year and for 180 school days in any sport in which he/she appeared on an NIAA roster during his/her attendance at the Magnet/CTA. When the number of qualified student applicants to a Magnet/CTA program exceeds the number of seats available, a random selection process (lottery) will be utilized to accept qualified applicants. As part of the application process, a percentage of open seats are given to 1st choice selections for geographic area, siblings, feeder school alignment, and CTA transportation zone. Second and third choice selections do not receive preferences. Students who apply for and are accepted by more than one Magnet/CTA, may only accept one invitation, and will be removed from other school's alternate lotteries. Applicants are allowed to choose a maximum of three (3) Programs. Ask your parents to read and sign the AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING giving their permission for your application to be screened for admission to the Magnet program and acknowledging their understanding that you must demonstrate acceptable performance in order to remain in the Magnet/CTA program. "Out-of-District" applicants must verify Clark County School District residency at time of enrollment to a Magnet/CTA. This application is valid for the 2013 2014 school year. If selected and registered, students are expected to remain in the program for the entire academic year. All Career and Technical Academies (CTA) are limited to pilot transportation zones. (See Magnet/CTA website for CTA Pilot Transportation Zones). All applications and documents must be returned to the Magnet/CTA office or a Magnet/CTA school campus by February 4, 2013 at 3 p.m.. The Magnet/CTA office is located at 5708 Mountain Vista Street, Las Vegas, NV 89120, Mountain Vista between Russell and Sunset. NO FAXED APPLICATIONS OR REQUIRED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All mailed applications must be mailed to the Magnet/CTA office. All CCSD 6th grade applicants must submit a copy of their 2012-2013 first trimester report card. All out-of-district 6th-12th grade applicants must submit: (a) a copy of their 2012-2013 first trimester or first semester report card and (b) most recent standardized test scores, example; CRT, IOWA test scores. For clarification of test scores, please direct questions to your student's current school counselor. The Report card must include: course title and grade, attendance, citizenship/conduct grade.
