In the next steps-y utting n foling this esign- 3D ojet grully rises A lot people in the worl re engge in PA, in wy tht n vry from simple Psstime (hoy) to exquisite rftmnship (Art). A lot of informtion out this hoy/rt, n of ouse e foun on the internet. For Beginners there re lot of rey-me moels to e foun (ooks, internet, on request from other people). Of ourse, the rel plesure n stisftion will e experiene when one retes one`s own esigns n onsequently ut n fol themm into 3D piees of rt. But to get strte n esily lern out the tehniques of esigning, utting n foling it is wise to try out suh simple moels first (ppenix 1), efore ttking more omplite ones Requisites n tools: Metlli/luminium ruler,for stright n preise utting, preferly hving n unersie equippe with ruer strip, to voi slipping; Cutting-mt A3; Knife with shrp le n point, to e le to ut with high preision; Inste of knife, one oul use metlli pen to rete the fols, ut these will e leess shrp; Punture pen, penil, gum,hesive, grph pper;. Mgnifying glss; Common pper I use Simili-jpon pper, 225 grms; Pper to mke test moels, plin white, 160 grms. Preprtion When mking 3D ojet, we must first etermine wht we wnt to o n how we re going to o it: A Using existing moels: 1 - Fin esign you like in PDF formt (or equivlent) so you n print it on ommon Pper stright wy n you will e le to strt utting 1 - If you o not hve omputer, you n lso use rwing n then opy it By using ron pper. (See further explntion elow).
2 To rete esign, I myself use more expensive pper, ut t first I mke some test moels on heper, plin white pper 160grms,in orer to etermine if ny prolems our while foling, whih enles me to fin out if the esign nees ny justments. Beuse the test moel is primrily ment to get goo ie of the ultimte esign, I only ut the min lines, to keep it rther simple to fol the moel. winows n other eortions re not yet ut in this test phse. B Mking your own esign on grphpper: 1 Look for moel to mke. 2 Deie whih pper (olour,qulity) you wnt to rete the moel from. 3 Mke esign on the pper you hve hosen ( I vie to mke test moel first) The esiest n most use metho to trnsmit the esign is using ron-pper, or something equivlent (see imge 1). To ut n fol. If the esign is rey the utting n foling follows. Cutting long ruler gives the Best result. Foling is preise work tht requires muh ptiene. Espeilly the more omplite esigns re sometimes iffiult to fol. Tke your time, one step At the time. Mke try outs first n o not forget tht the possiilities with pper re. Not inefinite. If something oes not work out well, try simplifying the esign. Generl. In this hpter, only foling n utting 90 egrees (horizontl) moels hve een Expline. However,there re still mny other possiilities in pper rhiteture, 180 egrees, 360 egrees n lso 90 egrees (vertil). But the si instrutions for ll these forms remin the sme. Try n experiment to see whih one is est or even try them ll. Mny ifferent types of pper re me of woo-fires, these fires run in prtiulr pttern. This n ffet the wy n moel n e fol. The est solution is to fol ginst the fire iretions. With the 90 egrees rs most fol lines re horizontlly, so gin, fol the fire iretion s muh s possile. To figure out the wy the fires run on your piee of pper, you slightly en the pper. If this not esy the fires re horizontlly, if it is esy to en the pper the fires run vertilly.
