1 Introduction Business Intelligence uses Business Objects to access and report on the information stored in Chubb Services (CLAIMWATCH) database. Business Objects is the integrated query, reporting, and analytical tool designed for the web and for Windows. Business Objects enterprise reporting enables you to access data, format it, and deliver it as information inside and outside your organization. 2 Logging in to Business Objects 1. Launch your Internet Browser. 2. Enter the Chubb URL (https://cscbi.chubb.com) and press Enter on your keyboard. The Chubb Login page opens. 3. The Business Objects Log On to InfoView page opens. 4. In the User name field, enter your user name. Note: The Business Objects and Chubb user name are typically the same, but the passwords may vary. 5. In the Password field, enter your password. If this happens, you ll see a message that looks like this: If you click on the gold bar and select the Download file option, the page will refresh and force you to re-run your report. 3 Working with Reports 3.1 Accessing a Scheduled Document 1. You must first log into the InfoView Portal (see previous section) before you can navigate to a report from the navigation panel. 2. In the Navigation panel to the left of your window, open Home and then open My Folders. All scheduled documents are delivered to the Inbox for your user account under My Folders. 3. Under My Folders, select Inbox. The Inbox displays in the right-hand-side frame and lists the delivered documents. Copyright 2008.Computer Sciences Corporation. All rights reserved. Page 11 of 24
4. To view a report, in the right-hand-side frame, click on the report name. Note: To learn how to view the schedule history of a report, proceed to the Running a Report Manually section of this document. Copyright 2008.Computer Sciences Corporation. All rights reserved. Page 12 of 24
3.2 Running a Report Manually If required, you can manually run a report even if it has been scheduled to run automatically. To manually run an existing report, do one of the following: Navigate to the report from the navigation panel. Search for a report using the Search Title field on the InfoView Home page. 3.2.1 Using the Navigation Panel to Find a Report One way you can find your reports is to navigate to them using the folder structure located in the left frame of the InfoView Portal. In your client folder you will see two sub-folders: One for manual reports that you can run yourself and another for the reports that are scheduled to run automatically. For example, to look at previous instances of a report that is delivered to you on a schedule, navigate to the Scheduled folder. When you select the Scheduled folder a list of report files that are scheduled to run automatically are displayed in the right-hand-side frame. Select the View Latest Instance link to view the latest instance of the report. Select the History link to view the previous runs of the report. 3.2.2 Running a Report Manually Based on Date Range Sometimes you might want to manually run reports using a particular date range. 1. To manually run a report, navigate to the Manual folder. 2. From the right-hand-side frame, select the report name. The system displays a message telling you that it is processing the report. A prompt displays asking you for input to enter a date range. 3. Enter your criteria and select the Run Query button. For this report this will be your output. Copyright 2008.Computer Sciences Corporation. All rights reserved. Page 15 of 24
The As Of Date is the ending period you want. Claim period is the period for all claim history. This is usually from the beginning of the program until the month end you need. Financial period is usually the first day and last day of the month end in claim period. You must also enter the client code for the client you want to run this report for. 5. You now see a save dialog box you will click on save. You must tell the computer were to save the report and click on Save. Click on close after the file has been saved on your computer. 3.2.3 Running/Saving The Export as an Excel Report Sometimes you might want to manually run reports using a particular date range and have the ability to save this in Excel.. 1. To manually run a report, navigate to the Manual folder. From the right-hand-side frame, select the report name. The system displays a message telling you that it is processing the report. 3.2.4 Using the Search Field to Find a Report 1. To search for a report, on the InfoView Home page, in the Search Title field, enter the report name. 2. Select the Execute Search button. The Search Results page opens. 3. To manually run the report, select the report name. The system displays a message telling you that it is processing the report.
