What is fone@rnp It is RNP s service that aims to forward telephone calls among its clients ins=tu=ons using the Network Ipê. This service is based on Voice over IP technology. It is possible to use IP extensions AND old analog extensions with old PBXes. The service main drive is to lower long distance call costs. 5

IntegraAon to NRENum.net What is NRENum.net? NRENum.net is an ENUM service for the Academia. ENUM is a protocol that maps telephone numbers into Internet URLs. How to paracipate NRENum.net? Anyone can query NRENum tree! To populate your own E.164 numbers: Read (and agree) the service policy Set up one primary and one secondary DNS servers where the <xx>.nrenum.net zone can be resolved Consider using DNSSEC Apply for the country delega=on to TERENA via e- mail. If accepted and DNS tests are ok, you are on! Start popula=ng your tree. 12
