Hints and tips to successful fundraising Vicky and Fiona climbed Mount Fife in New Zealand Raising 12,000 Fiona and I set ourselves a target of 6,500 we wanted to hold events rather than simply asking for sponsorship. We organised events, sold advertising space on our jackets and put together a recipe book. I believe that anyone can reach their target with a little planning. Holding an event or activity is a great way to fundraise for Bowel Cancer UK, while having fun. Fundraising online Creating an online fundraising page, such as Justgiving is a quick and easy way to collect donations. It can save you hours of asking for support and collecting sponsorship money. People tend to give more when donating online. If you set a target, your page will tell you how your fundraising total has grown and how far off, or over your target you are. www.justgiving.co.uk/bowelcanceruk or www.virginmoneygiving.co.uk 06 Bowel Cancer UK - fundraising booklet
