The project was finished in 1975 resulting in one main report and a number of special studies, including for example forecasting methods, cost benefit analysis methods, financing, principles for different public transport services, a licence scheme for private car traffic. a) Cost/Benefit Analysis concerning upgrading local train operations vs. expanding the Metro system supplemented by bus operation. b) Cost/Benefit Analysis, concerning local and inter-city train operations vs. inter-city bus operation. c) Forecasting revenue from ticket sales. Research Project for the Swedish Ministry of Transport, 1984 (parallel with SL). Marginal costs in local and regional public transport. The project develops a model suitable for local and regional public transport operators in Sweden. The aim of the model was to constitute a base for decisions on Public Transport capacity and costs during different parts of day for all operators in Sweden. The final report was published in December 1984. VTS, Jan-Feb. 1985 (parallel with SL) Participating in a project for the state-owned company ENATRU in Lima, Peru. Responsibility for two reports, written in Spanish: a) "Productividad y costos". The cost structure was analysed and the effects of a number or measures aimed at increasing efficiency were evaluated. b) "Sistema de tarifas". The fare structure was analysed and modifications proposed. Various alternatives for fare collection were evaluated with regard to costs, speed and security. Development of the next generation of the computer system, VIPS II. b) Logit analysis to find parameters for different factors influencing modal and spatial choices including value of time. c) Cost-benefit analysis of various projects. d) Analysis of various fare structures for Stockholm.
