This allows us to deliver real and sustainable business case improvements for our clients in the UK and across Europe. Parsons Brinckerhoff provides objective, up to date advice and recommendations. Asset engineering We offer a complete range of asset expertise, including pavement engineering, drainage, lighting, structures and geotechnical engineering. Our role and profile in the pavement engineering field gives us a unique perspective which we can transfer into our consultancy services to provide clients with the latest advice Our engineering teams deliver innovative whole life asset solutions, through their research and development of standards and specifications to support local authority and strategic network clients. Our maintenance engineering knowledge is continuously enhanced as we support key operators and maintainers of highway assets. Projects include the M25 DBFO, A30/A50/M1A1 DBFOs, the Highways Agency ASC contracts currently for Areas 4 and 10, and via TranServ in Scotland. We complement these specialist areas with in-house expertise in environmental engineering, ecology and landscape architecture. Pavement engineering As the largest single funded asset, the whole life optimisation of pavements is the key challenge for any network portfolio. Our pavement engineering experts are continuously developing effective and practical ways to optimise carriageway and footway maintenance treatments. We understand the structural behaviour, material properties, service loads and environmental effects that affect pavement design and performance. Typical of our pavement engineering experience is our support to Connect Plus on the M25 DBFO, where we have provided senior pavement asset engineers to manage the 30 year lifecycle. It also includes the development and implementation of pavement innovations such as single night bay replacements and fine milling on concrete pavements, as well as analytical designs for strategic road networks. What we can offer and our experience Pavement lifecycle programme development, for example for the M25 DBFO Analytical pavement designs and preparing departures from DMRB standards for effective road treatment solutions Pavement evaluation and material failure investigations such as for the M25 and other DBFOs, Highways Agency ASC contracts and local authority solutions Specifying and commissioning of pavement, drainage, structures and lighting surveys and analysis and interpretation of survey data Detailed maintenance designs and specifications for pavements, drainage, structures and lighting assets Materials advice and specification, including access to testing UKAS laboratories Bespoke engineering solutions to support highway PFI/PPI contracts Individual and cross asset maintenance modelling using deterioration models
