The worldwide standard for home and building control More efficiency in hotels with HVAC, lighting and security Simply comfortable: Higher energy efficiency and more flexibility thanks to Synco HVAC controllers and GAMMA building control Answers for infrastructure.
Saving energy and staying flexible in every season Thanks to intelligent energy saving functions, Synco heating, ventilation and air conditioning controllers in connection with GAMMA building control lower the energy consumption in hotels and thus their operating costs. The individual system components offer ease of use, ensure reliable operation and optimize the room climate in hotel rooms, lobbies, restaurants and spa areas. This provides for optimal comfort and the right ambience in any location. In addition, your investments are protected because Synco HVAC controllers and GAMMA building control components are highly flexible and can easily be adapted to new room configurations, changed occupancy schedules or building extensions. 2
Intelligent technology for energy-efficient hotels Well-prepared for any eventuality Modern hotels need to satisfy a number of requirements: Perfect comfort, highest security and straightforward operation at minimum cost and maximum energy efficiency. With Synco and GAMMA, Siemens offers the right building technology to easily satisfy these complex individual requirements today and tomorrow. Fluctuating room occupancy, presence detection using hotel card switches or conference areas with flexible room configuration: not a problem. Thanks to the internationally recognized KNX communication standard for home and building control, functions can be extended easily and flexibly without having to run new wires. In addition, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and media devices from different vendors can communicate with each other, thus allowing new functions to be added at a later stage. Intelligent comfort and straightforward operation Whether it is a pleasant room temperature, good air quality or atmospheric lighting, Synco and GAMMA make it easy to create the right ambience at the right time. This allows guests to relax in comfort or to focus their attention on the seminar they are attending. Another benefit is the straightforward operation of all systems be it in the hotel room by individual guests or centrally for the entire building by the facility manager. Green efficiency for your hotel Cut your operating costs and attain energy class A with state-of-the-art building technology from Siemens: Synco and GAMMA prevent the waste of energy caused by unnecessary lighting, air conditioning and heat losses. This allows you to reduce energy costs, contribute to environmental protection and give the hotel a green image. Reliable, future-proof products from a single source As a single-source provider of building technology, Siemens offers you a comprehensive solution from the production of heating and cooling energy to the distribution of thermal and electrical energy tailored to the specific needs of hotels. Thanks to its modular concept and open communication, this solution can be modified or extended at any time, ensuring that you will be on the safe side in the future as well. Highlights Energy and cost savings thanks to automated control and energy saving functions Optimal room climate in every area of the hotel Flexible adaptation to new requirements based on KNX Coordinated building technology for maximum comfort and energy cost savings Green image thanks to a high level of energy efficiency Reliable, expandable products from a single source 3
Lower energy costs and optimal comfort Up to 20 percent energy savings through time- and presence-dependent temperature control Daily, weekly and seasonal programs based on occupancy schedules Occupancy-dependent temperature control with presence detection via presence detectors, hotel card switches or connectivity to the reservation system 20 to 70 percent energy savings through demand-controlled ventilation The ideal amount of fresh air at the right temperature at any time Optimal air quality and humidity Ideal working conditions Up to 30 percent energy savings through individual room control and automatic data exchange with the heating/cooling plant Temperature can be individually adjusted for every room Automatic data exchange eliminates unnecessary heating or cooling Window contacts, hotel card switches and presence detectors prevent the waste of energy
Up to 45 percent energy savings through time-, presence- and daylight-dependent lighting control Automatic control of lighting Optimal lighting conditions at all times Only as much artificial light as needed thanks to constant light control Extensive lighting control through straightforward integration of DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) Up to 30 percent energy savings through time- and daylight-dependent shading control Automatic control of shading Scene control, e.g. for video projector presentations Straightforward operation and monitoring of energy efficiency Energy indicator reports unfavorable settings via e-mail or HomeControl app Easy internet-based operation by facility manager or service personnel from any location
The right user interface for every type of application: From simple pushbuttons to multifunctional touch panels and central display of all essential building information. Intelligent control Typically, basic lighting requires only a subset of the existing lamps. Rotation switching ensures that all lamps are utilized equally by alternating between all lamps for basic lighting. This distributes usage across all lamps, prevents uneven wear and eliminates constant lamp replacements. Since the operating hours of each lamp are recorded, the maintenance staff knows exactly when a specific lamp needs to be replaced. Siemens brings safety and security Automatic safety functions If there is a fire alarm, electrical consumers are immediately shut down and escape route lighting is switched on. In addition, air dampers are shut and fans are turned off. If smoke occurs, air dampers are opened and fans are turned on to ensure that escape routes are free of smoke and evacuation is easier. Safe lighting Presence-dependent corridor lighting ensures the right light level at the right time. Outdoor and pathway lighting can be switched depending on brightness, motion or time. Should a power failure occur, safety is guaranteed at any time thanks to emergency lighting. Safety and security thanks to remote monitoring Web-based visualization on a PC or control panel displays all important building information, including alarm and status messages such as lamp failures or lamp brightness. The energy indicator monitors defined settings for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, shows limit violations and reports them periodically via e-mail or app. In addition, water detectors sense burst pipes and flooding early on. This ensures quick response, prevents or reduces damage and guarantees reliable and efficient operation. There is no need to install special alarm devices: When the system is in monitoring mode, an alarm message is triggered every time a lamp is switched on or a window or an exterior door is opened. These messages can then be forwarded via text messaging (SMS) or e-mail. Highlights Higher security level with no need for extra personnel thanks to automatic security functions Lower risk of accidents thanks to efficient corridor, pathway and escape route lighting Faster intervention through notification via e-mail or text messaging (SMS) 6
