6 Central visualization of all building functions allows the front desk to intervene at any time, for example, to adjust the temperature or use the central power-off feature to turn off all devices or electrical outlets in a specific area at the press of a button. This not only saves energy but prevents potential damage caused by unattended electrical devices. In addition, presence and motion detectors as well as push-button sensors can report the activities of residents to the front desk. In an emergency, this identifies the location where a hazard exists, allowing personnel to respond quickly and appropriately. Siemens brings safety and security Automatic safety and security functions At night, the building automatically switches to a secure operating state: The blinds are lowered and automatic lighting and monitoring functions are activated. In the event of strong winds, the blinds are immediately raised and the skylights are closed. If there is a fire alarm, the system immediately initiates a smooth evacuation. This includes switching on the escape route lighting, closing the air dampers and turning off electrical loads. Running fans along the escape routes ensure they remain smoke-free. Safe lighting In living spaces, motion detectors along the floor provide orientation lighting at night. Presence-dependent corridor lighting ensures the right light level at the right time. Outdoor and pathway lighting can be switched depending on brightness, motion or time. Should a power failure occur, emergency lighting ensures safety at all times. Easy and safe operation Illuminated switches labeled with lettering or icons make it easy to operate the room functions. In addition, a handheld transmitter can be used to control these functions remotely. Safety and security through remote monitoring Web-based visualization on a PC or control panel displays all important building information, including alarm and status messages such as lamp failures or lamp brightness. The energy indicator monitors defined settings for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, shows limit violations and reports them via or app. In addition, water detectors sense burst pipes and flooding early on.
