GENERAL RULES FOR DDP/DAP SHIPMENTS CERTIFIED BY: All invoices must be clear with commodity and description in English for Customs Customs requires a USA consignee if the Importer of Record is foreign based Each USA consignee must provide a tax id number or social security number for clearance Shipments for importers with an annual Customs bond can be cleared in any USA office with a brokerage office for any port of entry Shipments for importers with NO annual Customs bond can only be cleared at the port of entry and by SDBUSA office that has brokerage.
FASHION: The Manufacturer s I.D. What Is It? CERTIFIED BY: When merchandise is entered into the U.S., part of the declaration made to US Customs on the entry summary (CBP Form 7501) is that of the Manufacturer Identification Code (MID). This code is intended to identify the manufacturer of the merchandise and together with the name and address of the invoicing party (whose invoice accompanies the Customs entry), an MID code is constructed. Special attention should be paid to textile shipments, as the manufacturer should be construed to refer to the actual manufacturer in accordance with 19 CFR 102.23(a) and the Appendix to 19 CFR Part 102 Textile and Apparel Manufacturer Identification.

(2) This subdivision shall not be construed to authorize the importation or sale of any alligator or crocodilian species, or any products thereof, that are listed as endangered under the federal Endangered Species Act, or to allow the importation or sale of anyalligator or crocodilian species, or any products thereof, inviolation of any federal law or international treaty to which the United States is a party. (c) (1) This section shall not apply to kangaroos that may be harvested lawfully under Australian national and state law, the federal Endangered Species Act of 1971 (16 U.S.C.
