This international master program is an opportunity to enrich their studies with an experience abroad or to specialize in one of these majors. computer science - master MIB - Biomedical imaging management Speciality : Imaging Asian Institute of Technology - Thaïlande ; National University of Singapore - Singapore Contact : dominique.bereziat@upmc.fr This international program aims to train science and medical students in the transverse field of imagery: acquisition and processing of images plus knowledge management. These technologies are applied it the fields of medical and biological imagery. Aspects related to algorithmic and a priori information modeling (delivered by the expertise of medical doctors and biologists) are particularly emphasized. The related aspects of biomedical image management are also broached. The program exchanges students in their second year of master (M2), who are enrolled in the IMA specialty course at UPMC with master students of the two partner universities. The partner universities have signed an agreement with UPMC, allowing the delivery of diplomas to students from each of the establishments. Extraction techniques and knowledge organization play a major role in all sectors. Organizations depend on it; the sciences also, to the point that we now speak of e-science. The Erasmus Mundus master, DMKM (Data Mining and Knowledge Management) prepares specialists in these matters. The consortium is composed of 6 partner universities from 4 European countries. The program lasts for 2 years and in at least two different countries from the 4 European participants of the master. It is open to all students, regardless of their country of origin, with a BSc in computer science or mathematics, and who have a good level of English (TOEFL 550 or equivalent). This doctorate program offers scholarships for PhD projects in Functional Material Science, jointly supervised between two European establishments (see the list of partners on the website). In most projects an industrial partner is involved. The doctorate students must spend at least 6 months in each university. The project starts in October for a period of 3 years. These doctoral scholarships are funded both by the European Union and UPMC.

These courses were created as an alternative to the classical teaching program. During the semester prior to departure, the students selected for the exchange will have the opportunity to follow language courses in Portuguese in Paris (as a beginner or intermediate level), which will prepare them for courses at the partner university. Nanoscience is now central to much research in fields as diverse as biology, chemistry and physics. The objective of this master program is to provide indepth knowledge in materials physics, production methods and spectroscopic analysis techniques in extreme miniaturization; tools to design new materials with basic electronic magnetic and optical proprieties. Due to international challenges linked to the preservation and the management of biodiversity, particularly in inter-tropical zones and keeping up with a strong request of the university establishments and research of the south, this master s degree program aims at forming experts (theoretical and practical) in the field of tropical plant biodiversity. The skills acquired during the degree program includes knowledge of processes that govern the evolution of basins and their resources, regional knowledge of basins worldwide and the ability to take a multidisciplinary, open and international approach.

This program of three years focuses on 6 topics dealing with the threats to the marine ecosystems: environmental changes, biodiversity loss, biological invasions, noise pollution and habitat loss. It includes methods of conservation and ecosystem restoration. The MARES doctoral program defines a common foundation for all students, encouraging them to participate in European mobility. The ambitious objective of the program in its fundamental approach and its applications is to tackle the big questions raised by research. Student mobility is fundamentally important in this pedagogic project. This formation prepares students for a career in academic and private research or for research and development in the vegetal sector. Dual Masters in Brain and mind sciences Spécialité : neurosciences University College London École normale supérieure de Paris Contact : ann.lohof@upmc.fr This international masters program offers courses on aspects of cellular, molecular and cognitive functioning of the nervous system. The course allows students to follow different topics of neurosciences and in particular, to address the issues bordering between cellular and cognitive neuroscience. The first year (M1) will be completed at UCL and the second at UPMC and ENS. The high quality research and teaching in neurosciences at the three establishments allows students to explore various topics in this field and to carry out two research internships in each country.
