He is founder and manager of NFC Lab - Istanbul (www.nfclab.com), the pioneer research lab on Near Field Communication technology worldwide. He is currently Associate Professor of Information Technology in ISIK University / Istanbul, from which he received Excellence in Teaching award in 2012. He believes on internationalism of science and education. He teaches courses in a wide range of topics such as Mobile Technologies, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, Computer Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, and Security. He gave lectures in several universities such as University of Thessaly / Greece, Malardalen University / Sweden, Inholland University / Netherlands, Lublin University of Technology / Poland, University of Dubrovnik / Croatia, and Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences / Germany. He is specialized in Near Field Communication (NFC), Mobile Technologies, Information Security, Java technology, and Android. He co-authored Near Field Communication: From Theory to Practice, published in 2012 by Wiley, and Professional NFC Application Development for Android, published in 2013 by Wrox. He believes on the importance of academia & industry relationship in Information Technology, and takes roles such as project development, researcher, and consultant for national and international companies in this manner. 1
