Manager Tasks A Manager Role will automatically be assigned based on your StaffLink Assignments should you have any direct/indirect reports assigned to you. In addition to the Learner Role, you will be able to: View outstanding training for you and your direct/indirect reports Manage Team related tasks Approve Learning Requests Access approx. 10 reports that will give you the status of your teams learning activities 2
Purpose: This document describes and introduces the Manager Interface of HETI Online. Product: HETI Online is the new State-Wide learning management system delivering various forms of learning at a State and Local Health District level. Audience: All NSW Health Manager Employees. Security: Each user must log into HETI Online using their StaffLink ID and Password. 3
How is Training Assigned? Training requirements can be assigned to users in 3 ways. The targeting of these training requirements are based on StaffLink User, Position and Organisational data. This ensures that right staff are doing the right training at the right time. The 3 methods of assignment are: Mandatory (Red Flag): Training requirements that are assigned as part of the State-wide Mandatory Training Policy. CE Directive (Blue Flag): Training requirements that are assigned as part of a local CE Directive. Assigned (Orange Pin): Training requirements that are assigned locally by direction of a manager. 4
Manager My Team view (default screen) Action: Use this button to: Progress Bar with traffic light indicators for your direct/indirect subordinates course completions. Review and Approve learners training requests Note: This reflects the correct position selected above if you have more than one position. Action: Use this button to: Outstanding training for direct/indirect subordinates including Status and Due Date (listed in date ascending order) Status of current learning: Not Attempted Incomplete Initial Expired 5 Links: Click user to view their details or click the + to view subordinates Run a report on Mandatory training for subordinates Action: Use this button to: View Current Learning View Learning History View External Learning Enrol the Learner into courses and pathways
Manager - Approval Management Utilised Advanced Search to locate specific requests. Action: Use this link to: Quickly Approve, Decline and/or Request Further Information. Requests for Authorised Training will be sent to direct line Manager for review. Action: Use this link to: To view and approve both internal and external training requests from your team. 6 Action: Click to view the request in detail.

Manager Delegation Managing delegations enabling other team members to complete manager tasks for leave periods. Manager - Mandatory Training Report Action: Use this button to: Run a report on Mandatory training for subordinates Report #250 View a list of your direct and/or indirect reports and any training that is due or expired. This report returns all the courses and offerings that are targeted to learners based on the State-wide mandatory training policy. Action: Complete fields and click Run Note: % is wildcard for All value. 9 Folder (can display if learners are assigned to Mandatory/CE Directive learning at another location.

Manage External Learning Requests Manage and Complete Status Manage Requests Requests for Authorised Training will be sent to direct line Manager for review. Action: Use this link to: Requests for adding external learning activities completed outside of HETI Online from learners e.g. continuing education activities, formal education, technical training from learners are sent via email notification to the immediate line manager. To view and approve both internal and external training requests from your team. Note: Should more than one line manager exist (i.e. multiple assignment) the learner will be prompted with a drop down box to select appropriate manager for review of the request. HETI Online does not connect to time and attendance and existing requests for leave need to be adhered to 11
Manage External Learning Requests Manage and Complete Status Step 1. Search: Use filters to locate relevant external learning requests. Step 2. Locate request: Displays a list of internal and external training requests and their status including requested date. Step 3. Manage request Two options for approving: Name of request Type of request Status of request Date of last update Option 1: Select the checkbox of the Approval Pending request. 12 Option 2: Click to review.
Manage External Learning Requests Manage and Complete Status Step 4. Complete Status: Record the completion status of the external training including date and comments. Step 3. Review request details. Select the request to view the following: Incomplete Deleted (External Learning) Incomplete No Show Note: External learning will appear on learners transcripts. Manager Tasks Reports The Report screen allows you to search for, view and run reports The Description lists the details of each report Select the desired Report and click Run button 14
Manager Tasks Reports Step 1: Run Report screen displays. Configure the report settings as desired Step 2: The Learner ID screen displays in a new window The Results lists user who report to you Use this screen to locate the desired user Step 3: Once all the report settings are configured, click Run to generate the report The 200 Manager Learner Transcript Report displays in a new window. The report lists a transcript of the selected user s completed course 15
