Payment Methods PayGate s online payment services have been designed to support multiple global and regional payment methods, subject to availability in the territory of choice. PayGate's global payment methods are as follows: Credit Card is supported for processing to merchant facilities at various banks in the following countries: Australia, Bahrain, Brunei, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri-Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, United Kingdom, Vietnam. Please check with us as countries are being added every month. Processing to these banks is subject to the bank approval of an internet merchant facility. PaySum1 PaySum1 is a bank transfer system enabling merchants to receive bank transfer payments from international clients in a quick and cost effective way. Using PaySum1 the merchant would quote their client in the merchant s currency. PaySum1 will then provide the client with an amount in their currency to pay into a bank account in their country. Once this payment has cleared the funds are transferred to the merchant s country and paid out to the merchant in their currency. Ukash Voucher The Ukash voucher system is a supported payment method in a number of countries globally. Ukash enables clients to pay online using a Ukash voucher number. Ukash voucher payments are risk-free and cannot be charged back. There is however an upper limit to the value of a Ukash voucher, and it is not possible to use more than 1 voucher to make a payment. All of the above payment methods are compatible with the PayWeb and PayXML payment services, and can be activated simultaneously.

Online Payment Services PayWeb PayWeb is a secure online payment service designed for ease of integration and user friendliness. This service is compatible with multiple payment methods, as well as 3D Secure and our PayProtector fraud screening service. PayWeb is currently the payment service used by many of our major airline clients. Using the PayWeb integration, when a client confirms their booking on your site, they are then redirected to the secure PayWeb payments page. This page is hosted on the PayGate server and is encrypted using the latest encryption technology to ensure sensitive data captured on the page cannot be intercepted. Although this page is hosted by PayGate, it can be customized to retain the look and feel of your website. 3D Secure authentication for credit card payments is seamlessly handled by the PayWeb page. Once the PayWeb transaction is completed we redirect the client back to a page on your site that you have specified. When the client is redirected our system also posts the transaction results in hidden HTML fields, so that your site receives the transaction results in real time and your booking engine can handle them accordingly.

Online Payment Services PayXML PayXML is our most customizable API and offers you the most control over the look, feel and functionality of the payments page. Using PayXML you can integrate the payment page into your booking engine on your website so that the client is not redirected away from the site when they pay for their bookings. The payments page will be hosted on your site, so you will need to ensure that the proper SSL certificate is used to encrypt sensitive data captured on the payments page, and that no sensitive data is stored on your databases in a non-pci compliant way. When a transaction is processed, the transaction data is sent from your system to ours via a secure server-to-server post. Once the transaction has been processed our system posts the transaction results to the notification URL s you have specified. PayXML supports multiple payment methods and fraud screening services. PayXML is also compatible with 3D Secure for both PayGate s MPI and your own MPI should you wish to make use of your own 3D Secure service provider. Full technical documentation for PayXML can be found on the Download page of our website Batch Payment Methods PayGate has a sophisticated transaction batch processing system which is available to merchants within the back office. Credit card, IATA HOT file and EDCON (specific to South Africa) plug-ins are immediately available and bespoke requirements are handled on request.

Batch Payment Methods Credit Card The credit card batch processing system makes it easy to process large batches of transactions. Files are uploaded to PayGate over a secure connection, processed and then the results are returned to the merchant for reconciliation. IATA Hand Off Tape (HOT) files IATA accredited airlines and agents often make use of HOT files to reconcile the billing data in their accounting systems. In many instances the transactions listed in the HOT file report, have been authorized but not settled. PayGate s IATA HOT file plugin allows merchants to upload the IATA HOT file and then automatically process the transactions from the HOT file directly to the merchant s credit card facility in-country. Detailed transaction status s of all of the transactions processed from the HOT file are returned to the merchant in CSV file format for easy input into accounting, reporting or spreadsheet applications.

Value added Services PayFX PayFX is a real-time credit card currency conversion service that is compatible with the PayWeb payment service. PayFX is ideally suited to airlines offering ticket pricing in the client s currency, yet wanting to acquire the funds for the ticket payment in their currency. Using PayFX, your booking engine can determine the price of the ticket and the currency of the client based on the client s country of origin and/or the currency of the departing airport. When the client books the ticket and they are redirected to the PayWeb payment page to enter their credit card details, they are shown that currency conversion has taken place and both the converted currency amount and the exchange rate used are clearly visible. The credit card payment is processed in the airline s chosen (acquiring) currency to their internet merchant facility at their bank. PayFX uses regularly updated mid-market exchange rates from leading exchange rate data providers.

Fraud Prevention Risk Analysis 3D Secure 3D Secure is MasterCard and VISA s online credit card authentication system designed to help prevent fraudulent credit card use over the internet. Most banks offer 3D Secure free of charge, and similarly PayGate does not charge for 3D Secure authentication. 3D Secure is optional and is built in to both our PayWeb and PayXML payment services. PayGate s transaction processing systems are neatly integrated with 3D Secure yet the merchant is given maximum flexibility regarding choice of which 3D Secure MPI to use or to simply do without 3D secure. PayProtector Online PayProtector Online is a real-time fraud screening service which PayGate has developed to offer a first line of defense against online credit card fraud. It was designed to be used stand-alone or in conjunction with 3D Secure to further reduce the risk of a fraudulent credit card payment being successfully authorized. As soon as a transaction enters the PayGate credit card gateway, a check is done against various PayProtector negative databases. These databases are constantly updated with fraud data gathered from all transactions processed on our gateway as well as fraud data provided to us by external risk data providers. Various techniques are used to determine if the incoming transaction is linked to any data in the negative databases and if so, then the transaction is immediately blocked and declined by PayGate. PayProtector Online screening takes milliseconds and requires no interaction from the cardholder. It has proven to be extremely effective in combating fraud for our airline merchants and thereby reducing the number of chargebacks received on their merchant accounts. This service is especially useful in screening transactions from credit cards issued by banks not participating in 3D Secure, as these cardholders are not required to enter 3D Secure authentication details.

Fraud Prevention Risk Analysis PayProtector Reporting In addition to 3D Secure and PayProtector Online, PayGate offers a PayProtector Reporting service. PayProtector Reporting reviews all approved transactions in order to provide the merchant with additional data which is useful to double check that credit card fraud has not occurred. The PayProtector Reporting service emails a report to the relevant merchant contacts every 12 or 24 hours. These reports contain detailed transaction data for each successful booking made in the previous time period. Each transaction is assigned a Risk Rating (Low, Medium or High) based on the transaction data. The airline s fraud team can use the PayProtector report to confirm card data and/or cancel tickets and issue refunds in order to reduce the risk of future chargebacks. High-end fraud and risk services PayGate will work with key merchants to integrate specialist third party fraud and risk service providers directly into the PayGate transaction systems if necessary.

Reconciliation Reporting Service The PayGate Back Office All PayGate merchants receive access to the PayGate Back Office administration site for their PayGate profiles. This secure web site gives merchants full control over their transactions. Features include management of credit card settlements and refunds, configuration of payment services, transaction reporting, various search functionality, bank reconciliation and much more. Access to the Back Office is password controlled, and multiple users can be created with different levels of access. A full demo of the Back Office site is available on our website.

Reconciliation Reporting Service Search Report Airline call centre agents are often required to confirm payment details of clients that have made online bookings. The Search Report enables merchants to find transactions quickly and easily using a variety of search criteria.

Reconciliation Reporting Service Search Report The Search Report displays the transactions that meet the search criteria in an on-screen summary. Users can further drill down per transaction to view the full details. This report can also be used to generate transaction processing reports for specific date ranges, such as weekly or monthly reports of transactions processed. The results of the Search reports can be exported as a CSV file so that they can be opened in MS Excel.

Reconciliation Reporting Service Bank Recon Report The Bank Recon report displays the Settlement batches sent to the bank for settlement for the date range selected. Settlement batches for credit card transactions are sent to the merchant s bank in a batch every 24 hours just before the banks daily cut-off. The Bank Recon report enables merchants to reconcile amounts appearing on their bank statement with the Settlement batches sent to the bank. The report has drill down functionality to view details of each transaction in the batch.

Reconciliation Reporting Service Refunds Merchants can easily locate and refund settled transactions using the back office. Alternatively refunds can be processed programmatically using the PayXML interface. PayGate s system allows for part-refund of a transaction to the card that was used to make the original payment. If your bank permits it, our system is also capable of processing refunds to a card not used to make the original payment. The refund process in the back office is a 2-step process in order to minimize the risk of a refund being done in error. A note can be added to the refund so that in future it is possible to see which user did the refund and what the reason for the refund was. Once a refund has been created, it is also possible to stop it before the Refund batch is sent to the bank.

Email Notifications PayGate has an email notification system for merchants who prefer to be notified by email rather than logging in to the Back Office to get the information they need. Successful Authorization Notification For every successful authorization processed, PayGate can automatically send an email notification to email addresses specified by the merchant.

Email Notifications Daily Credit Card Settlement Reconciliation Service The Daily Credit Card Settlement Reconciliation Service generates an email every morning containing CSV files with details of the previous day s Settlement batches. The header file contains the summary of the batch and its total value and the detail file contains the details of each settlement contained in the batch.
