3 Introduction Welcome to epdq moto To ensure the service we provide is of the highest possible standard, we are upgrading our current epdq platform. Replacing epdq Lite, epdq moto (mail order/ telephone order) is a more robust and reliable platform that will increase the stability, speed and performance of your e-commerce facility. In addition, it will offer users new features such as the ability to download reports, together with an improved back-office support function. This guide will help your Back Office users take and manage payments in epdq moto.

4 Login details for epdq Back Office Your epdq account is accessed via the epdq Back Office here: To log in as a user there are two identification details needed, username and password. Username staff member usernames can be a mixture of upper and lower case letters and numbers. Password containing a minimum of seven letters and numbers. When logged in to the Back Office there are three areas that your staff can access to administer your epdq account: 1. Configuration 2. Advanced 3. Operations

5 Configuration, Advanced and Operations Configuration The configuration selection enables you to: set up your password modify your epdq account settings view, set up and administer your payment methods manage your user controls choose the technical settings for how your transactions are processed. Operations The operations selection enables you to: run and export reports cancel and settle transactions process refunds view transactions and settlement files accept moto payments via the eterminal. Advanced The advanced selection enables you to: set up and manage your fraud rules, according to which version of epdq you use manage recurring payment schedules.

6 Taking a payment To process a moto payment, you will need to access the operations area and click to enter the new transaction screen. You will need your customer s card number, expiry date and card security code (3 digits on the back of the card). As well as authorising the card payment, you can carry out a cardholder address check. A payment reference (order ID) and group ID can also be added. These are searchable fields in the transaction history reporting.

7 Payment response Once the transaction has been submitted, you will receive an immediate authorisation response on screen. From this you can determine whether the transaction was authorised, declined or if it has a warning status from the fraud rules. Opposite is an example of an authorised transaction.

8 Authorised transactions When authorising a transaction, you can choose to automatically settle or to delay the settlement. You can either choose to settle transactions for the full amount or, if for any reason you are not able to provide all of your goods and services, you cansettle for less than the original value. This is often known as partial shipping or partial capture. Other administration functions include giving refunds to your customers, which can also be undertaken for the original full amount or a partial value. This is commonly known as a partial refund.

9 View transactions epdq Back Office brings you enhanced transaction reporting. So in addition to on-screen reporting, you can now export your transaction reports from the Back Office. Depending on the settings of your epdq account, there are a number of ways in which you can choose to administer your transactions. You can use the following data to search for your transactions: date range from/ to payment method Visa/ MasterCard, Amex, JBC etc merchant reference order ID payment reference payment gateway reference number status authorised, declined, refunded, cancelled amount from/to fraud status/score red, amber and green IP address card number full card number not truncated.* *Searching by full card number is possible but the full card number is never shown on screen or in any of the exports, only the last four digits are displayed.

10 Downloading data The most popular method of download is to receive the data in Excel. However, other formats are also available, such as TSV, CSV or XML. Key data fields returned in the report for export include: order ID PSP ID date payment status customer name customer country transaction total payment type (debit or credit card) brand (Visa/ MasterCard) card number (truncated) IP country CSC response AVS response postcode address fraud status/ score BIN number.
