1. INTRODUCTION S Ismail Consulting Electrical cc (SICEE) is an independent consulting engineering practice founded in 2004 in Cape Town, South Africa. SICEE designs and services are known for being innovative as well as practical. With an eye for detail and quality, SICEE delivers energy efficient and affordable solutions to its Clients. Founded by Miss Shafieqa Ismail Pr.Eng., an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, with over a decade of proven experience, SICEE is one of the first consulting engineering enterprises independently owned and operated by a previously disadvantaged woman in South Africa. 2. EXPERIENCE AND RESOURCES 9.1 Permanent Staff Ms SHAFIEQA ISMAIL graduated from the University of Cape Town. She has a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (June 1996) and has been registered as a professional engineer with the Engineering Counsel of South Africa (ECSA) since year 2000. She is also an A+ Certified Service Technician. She has spent more than 10 years working in the electrical consulting engineering environment and has extensive experience in planning, design, coordination and construction supervision of many different aspects of electrical and electronic engineering with particular emphasis on building services relating to hotels, office blocks, residential blocks, hospitals, schools, prisons and more S. recently stadiums. Her other experience includes control systems, computers, a series of HV and LV electrical reticulation and streetlighting projects. As a Project Engineer (also referred to as Electrical Consultant), she liaises closely with architects and /or clients to determine, define and document project requirements. During this stage, the South African National Standards (SANS) for the Wiring of Premises, the National Building Regulations and energy efficiency requirements are applied to the electrical design. For the Cape Town Stadium project, FIFA guidelines for stadiums hosting international events were also adhered to. Other duties include the coordination of electrical services with other service consultants' designs (e.g. Mechanical ) to avoid potential clashes during construction stage as well as to provide detailed cost estimates and reporting to a professional team and/or client on technical viability of the projects.
