Data Warehouse Review Advantages of Using the Data Warehouse Data Warehouse offers detailed information, while EIS offers only summary-level data. In many cases, data is more current in the Data Warehouse. More data is available from the Data Warehouse. EIS Review Advantages of Using EIS Since EIS is a Web-based tool, you do not have to learn a querying tool such as Microsoft Access. EIS has an easy-to-use interface. With EIS, you can create various charts and graphs, simply by clicking a button. Data can be exported in a spreadsheet or PDF format. Which is Your Best Option? Things to consider: Detail of the data that you need. How recent the data must be. How much training you can take. You may need to know both depending on the level of detailed data you need. Regardless of which option(s) you choose, you need to know your data. 11
