Technical Requirements Technical Requirements The following are required for QuestionPoint to properly function. Creating a TurningTalk Account for New Users Creating a TurningTalk Account for New Users Initial access to QuestionPoint requires a TurningTalk account and a license code. If a license code has not been acquired, please contact Customer Support at support@turningtechnologies.com. How to create a TurningTalk account... 1 Go to turningtalk.turningtechnologies.com. 2 Click Account. 3 Select Register. The TurningTalk Register page opens. 4 Enter the required information in the fields provided and click Submit. 5 Login to the e-mail you used to register on TurningTalk. 6 Follow the link from Turning Technologies to verify your TurningTalk account. 7 Click Account and enter your TurningTalk Username and Password. 8 Select QuestionPoint. The Welcome to QuestionPoint page opens. Welcome to QuestionPoint 9 Enter the license code in the field provided and click Submit. QuestionPoint 2.1.1 User Guide 6

Logging into TurningTalk for Existing Users Logging into TurningTalk for Existing Users The TurningTalk home page also hosts Turning Technologies blogs, user forums and resource center. How to login to TurningTalk... 1 Go to turningtalk.turningtechnologies.com. 2 Click Account. 3 Enter the Username and Password and click Log In. 4 Select QuestionPoint. 5 Enter the license code in the field provided and click Submit. Activating a QuestionPoint License Code for Premium Content Users have the option to access premium content by entering a second license code after logging into QuestionPoint. The second license code can be obtained through a Turning Technologies sales representative. Please contact sales@turningtechnologies.com for more information. How to activate a QuestionPoint license code for premium content... 1 After logging into QuestionPoint, click License in the upper right corner of the screen. 2 Enter the license code. 3 Click Add Code. 4 Check the summary list to confirm that the appropriate content has been added to the account. QuestionPoint Identifiers QuestionPoint Identifiers The table below lists QuestionPoint identifiers. Identifier Description The Details button opens a window with details on a specific selected item. The Select button adds a specific question or text passage to the Selected Questions window. The Standards icon appears next to a specific standard or substandard. The Premium Content icon appears next to premium content. The Question icon indicates a question that is available to be added to the Selected Questions window for content export. The Text Passage icon indicates that a text passage is included in the content. The Remove button removes a specific question or text passage from the Selected Questions window. The Remove All button removes all questions or text passages from the Selected Questions window. The Randomize button randomly re-orders questions and/or text passages that are selected in the Selected Questions window. The Preview button displays the content in PDF format. The Download button opens the Download Options window where content is downloaded for use with Turning Technologies software. Selecting Content by Standards Selecting Content by Standards QuestionPoint displays all available content once the state, standard, subject and grade level are selected. How to display standards... 1 Select Standards from the View by drop-down menu. View by Drop-down Menu 2 Select the appropriate state, Common Core State Standards or ETS National Framework from the State drop-down menu. 3 Select the appropriate standards from the Standards drop-down menu. 4 Select the appropriate subject from the Subject drop-down menu. 5 Select the appropriate grade level from the Grade Level drop-down menu. Expand a topic to display content. Standards 6 Select a question or standard to enable the Select button or drag the standard to the Selected Questions window. QuestionPoint 2.1.1 User Guide 10

Searching QuestionPoint for Standards, Questions and Answer Text The question(s) now appear in the Selected Questions window. Selected Questions Tip To remove a question, select the question and click Remove. Searching QuestionPoint for Standards, Questions and Answer Text A standards, questions or answer text search can be performed based on a keyword. How to search for standards, questions and answer text... 1 Select Search Results from the View by drop-down menu. View by Drop-down Menu 2 Select the appropriate subject from the Subject drop-down menu. 3 Select the appropriate grade level(s) from the Grades drop-down menu. 4 Select the appropriate state, Common Core State Standards or ETS National Framework from the Alignment drop-down menu. 5 Enter specific text to search for standards, questions and answer text with the selected criterion. Downloading QuestionPoint Content 6 Click Search. Search Results Window 7 Select a question or standard to enable the Select button or drag the standard to the Selected Questions window. The question(s) now appear in the Selected Questions window. Selected Questions Window Tip To remove a question, select the question and click Remove. Downloading QuestionPoint Content After the questions are selected, they must be downloaded. How to download QuestionPoint content... 1 Click Download. QuestionPoint 2.1.1 User Guide 12

Downloading QuestionPoint Content The Download Options window opens. Download Options 2 Name the File. 3 Select the appropriate download action. Tip Select TQZ File for TurningPoint 5, TurningPoint 2008, TurningPoint AnyWhere and TurningKey. 4 When prompted, select Save File. 5 Click Close. QuestionPoint 2.1.1 User Guide 13

How to import the QuestionPoint (TQZ) file into TurningPoint 5... 1 Open TurningPoint 5. 2 Select the Content tab. 3 Click the Content drop-down menu and select Import. 4 Locate the saved QuestionPoint (TQZ) file and click Open. 5 Click Yes. TurningPoint 2008 TurningPoint 2008 The steps below outline TurningPoint 2008, versions 4.2.3 and later. If using TurningPoint 2008, versions 4.2.1 or 4.2.2, use the TurningPoint parser to import the QuestionPoint (TQZ) file. How to import the QuestionPoint (TQZ) file into TurningPoint 2008... 1 Open TurningPoint 2008. 2 Click Import from the TurningPoint toolbar. 3 Select QuestionPoint. 4 Locate the saved QuestionPoint (TQZ) file and click Open. 5 Select Yes to add the file to the current presentation or No to open a new presentation. The questions are now imported into a TurningPoint presentation. TurningPoint 2008 6 Save the PowerPoint presentation. QuestionPoint 2.1.1 User Guide 16

TurningPoint AnyWhere PC or Mac TurningPoint AnyWhere PC or Mac QuestionPoint is compatible with TurningPoint AnyWhere, versions 2.2 and higher. How to import the QuestionPoint (TQZ) file into TurningPoint AnyWhere PC or Mac... 1 Open TurningPoint AnyWhere PC or Mac. 2 Select Question Lists from the Create and Manage section on the launchpad. 3 Select New Question List. 4 On PC, click Import Questions and select QuestionPoint. On Mac, click the menu icon in the bottom left corner of the question list window and select Parse QuestionPoint File. 5 Locate the saved QuestionPoint (TQZ) file and click Open. 6 On PC, click the Save icon to save the question list. On Mac, click the menu icon in the bottom left corner and select Save to save the question list. TurningKey PC or Mac QuestionPoint is compatible with TurningKey PC or Mac, version 1.0 and higher. How to import the QuestionPoint (TQZ) file into TurningKey PC or Mac... 1 Open TurningKey PC or Mac. 2 On PC, select Load Key.
