REAL WORLD. REAL LEARNING PERSONAL STRATEGIES FOR Empowering women executives W O R L D W I D E IN OPEN PROGRAMS 4 CONSECUTIVE YEARS -2012-2013-2014-2015- Financial Times

WHAT WHO Corporations and governments worldwide are increasingly concerned about the under representation of women in executive management and leadership roles. Some have attempted to address the issue by introducing positive discrimination policies. At the same time, the business benefits of Diversity and Inclusion are becoming more and more wellestablished. As of January 2015, statistics show that only 4.6% of S&P 500 companies have a female CEO 1. IMD s Strategies for (SL) program has successfully helped companies over more than ten years to address this imbalance, by equipping female executives for greater success in current assignments and preparing them to successfully climb the corporate ladder. SL is for senior and upper middle level female executives in business, government and the not for profit sector. Participants generally have a minimum of 10 years work experience and come from a wide range of industries, functional backgrounds and geographic regions. At IMD, we have seen that women become passionate and empowered learners in this unique setting. By drawing on the experience of peers and building powerful international networks across organizations, participants also become strong mentors and role models for each other. THE PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY FOCUSES ON IMPROVING SKILLS THAT HAVE EMERGED FROM RESEARCH AS BEING MORE IN NEED OF DEVELOPMENT AMONG WOMEN THAN MEN:» Communicating vision and strategy» Networking and social media» Managing career transitions» Assertiveness, self-confidence and managing upwards» Visibility» Influencing others SL is a transformational learning experience. Through personal reflection, self-assessment, discussions, experiential learning and executive coaching, you will increase your self-awareness and skills and develop the ability to lead more effectively and authentically. STRATEGIES FOR WILL HELP YOU TO:» Improve performance and lead more effectively» Prepare to take on top-level management roles and board positions» Build a network of colleagues to serve as mentors and role models 1 http://www.catalyst.org/knowledge/women-ceos-sp-500 I was sceptical coming into the program. I ve got an MBA from a top business school, I have read a lot on leadership, networking and human psychology. I did not expect to get much out of it, and I got a ton out of the sessions [ ]. I would absolutely recommend this program to my friends and colleagues. Elena Frishberg Senior Manager Strategic Ecosystem Group Cisco Systems USA

Strategies for helps women take the lead. A common misperception prevails that women need to be like men in order to be successful. During SL, we will provide you with insights on how to lead effectively by being yourself. HOW Learning is carried out through a multitude of methods ranging from cutting edge research and experiential learning to Faculty and guest speaker presentations. You also work extensively with coaches in one on one and group sessions. PRIOR TO THE PROGRAM, you are asked to reflect on your professional journey so far by writing a personal narrative. AFTER THE PROGRAM, you receive a personal coaching session to help consolidate the program s key learnings.
