The stretching ability and the tensile strength, of natural fibers in particular, is dependent mostly on the moisture content of the yarn. During the production process the fibers are stretched to their limit because of the high processing speed. If the yarn gets too dry, it breaks and these breaks interrupt production and lead to poor product quality. It is therefore best to humidify the yarn directly at the machine, for example such as the warp area on weaving looms. Systems for this purpose offer the following features: - exact control of humidity - precisely directed airflow - reduction of total energy consumption - low maintenance operation The LTG air diffusers, type WDA and WDB, are equipped with adjustable deflectors for fine tuning the humidity and accomplish these features within a large humidity and air volume range of 300-1000 m 3 /hxm. Their robust design offers the highest degree of reliability and safety. Application LTG Air Diffusers Type WDA and WDB are especially useful for the direct conditioning of the yarn during processing on the loom. They are also useful in a variety of industries, such as - knitting and hosiery mills - nonwovens industry - paper industry - cellulose industry They find their special application in the LTG WeaveDirect system. Advantages constant and even temperature and humidity distribution changing of humidity level possible when changing material optimum dust and heat removal through the air stream from above change to the WDA/WDB diffuser makes a larger A/C system unnecessary Function The supply air is diverted from the duct into the air diffuser by guide vanes. A perforated grid distributes the air evenly over the entire length of the diffuser. The specially formed deflectors produce a flat, low-turbulence air stream that is induced with room air. The deflectors are adjustable. The induction ratio can be adjusted over the entire row of machines and the humidity distribution can be kept even at the required level. The desired humidity can be obtained by a mixing ratio. Air Diffusers Type WD..installed into the duct Shipping The Air Diffusers Type WDA and WDB are available as individual complete diffusers for installation into an existing duct system. Application Example: The LTG weave direct system for weaving mills During the weaving process, warp yarn is subjected to very high tensile strain. If the yarn is too dry, excessive yarn breaks result, disrupting production and reducing product quality. For cotton and other natural fibers, humidity is crucial: the moisture content of the yarn increases the tensile strength and stretching ability of the yarn. For today s high-efficiency processing it is very difficult to provide the necessary relative humidity through regular room air conditioning. High capital expenditures and energy costs are involved to accomplish this task. The LTG weave direct system delivers the humidity in the correct dosage exactly to the area where it is most needed - the shedding area of the loom. The LTG weave direct system consists of a dedicated duct system with special air diffusers, type WDA and WDB that is installed approx. 0.8-2.1 m above the loom. The air is either supplied by the room airwasher, or it is conditioned by its own dedicated airwasher. The air diffusers have adjustable deflectors. The relative humidity can be fine -tuned across the whole system and the even humidity distribution can be maintained along the entire row of looms at the desired level. Advantages the number of warp stops can be reduced by up to 20% increase in efficiency (up to 5% has been achieved in existing installations) quality improvement large reduction in energy consumption by reducing the size of the airwasher system increased cleanliness at the loom due to the increased number of air changes in the area where most of the dust and fiber fly is created better working conditions for the operators due to lower room humidity the diffusers can be installed above or below the traveling cleaner no maintenance required at the diffuser (since there are no wear parts) LTG weave direct system, flow of the air stream LTG weave direct system, installed directly above the loom Air stream made visible through the use of a smoke cartridge: The humid air is directly guided to the shedding area of the loom E Grenzstraße 7 D-70435 Stuttgart +49 (0711) 8201-180 Fax -696 WDA/WDB-E-TP (09/00) Datum werden hiermit ungültig Technische Änderungen vorbehalten Former editions are invalid Subject to technical modifications. 4
