1 Welcome The control panel, your Online Presence Portal is an intuitive interface, which connects you to the complete suite of business applications and services available with Website Solutions based on your plan giving you the ability to manage your online presence. Using the applications and services contained in the portal, you can build websites, with the new Online Presence Builder, based on your plan, operate an online store, manage security, write blogs, create photo albums and chat systems. 1.1 Building your Online Presence A great website is a good starting point to building your online presence. Building an online presence allows to take the design from your site and carry it through to your social network, business cards, and email campaigns. The Online Presence Portal is designed to help walk you through setting up your online presence step-by-step. 1.2 Promote your Business Once your online presence is established, you can begin promoting your business through social networks and search engines. Once you have your website built, the Portal will walk you through setting up other services, such as email campaigns and search engine optimization. 2 Understanding the Portal The Portal navigation includes everything you will need to create and manage your online presence. A top-navigation task bar and drop-down menu provides access to key services, such as websites, account information, email, and online shop. The main components of the Portal include: Websites allows you to view the statistics for Websites listed under a specified domain. Shop allows you to purchase a new domain, or add a new website or email account. Support provides contact information for technical support or billing, and a link to online help. Email launches Webmail associated with the specified website. 2.1 Task Bar The Task Bar provides access to Websites, (including the Project Portal and Online Fax if purchased), Shop, Help, Webmail and an Account Management drop-down. 4

2.2 Websites The websites icon takes you to the website builder. It will help you create and publish a beautifully designed website. When you first click on this tab, you will see a green get started button to begin creating a website. The Once you have created your first website using the Online Presence Builder, you will be able to manage your sites from here. Select your domain from the drop-down and click the Edit Site button. You ll be taken to the Online Presence Builder to start editing your website. 5

3 Website and Domain Information This section provides a view into your service and usage details, along with receiving helpful tips and tricks. 6

4 Shop On the right side of the blue Task Bar, you will find several icons. The Shop section allows you to purchase a new domain, or website or email packages for an existing domain. 5 Domain Registration This section allows you to search for a new domain name or transfer a domain you own from a different provider. Additional Top Level Domains (i.e..net,.biz or.org.) may be purchased here. 6 Websites and Email This section allows you to: ppurchase affordable small business web hosting plans to effectively manage your business online create and manage personalized email accounts 7

7 Support The Support link provides a list of contact resources should you ever need assistance. The last section of this document also contains all support information. 8 Webmail The mail icon is the link which opens the log-in screen for your Webmail account. You can also access your webmail via a login link from our website: webhosting.att.com. 9 Account Management The Main Menu drop-down provides links to the following service: Users create and manage accounts. Settings can be applied to multiple domains. Services provides a list of purchased services. Domain purchases and plan upgrades are available. Advanced Tools add applications to your existing website. General view or modify account information, such as name, username, password or language settings. Payments update billing information. Logout log out of the Platform. 8

9.1 Users This section displays a list of user accounts that have access under this account. From this page, you can view the details and status of each user. If permissions have been applied, you can create new users. 9.2 Services This section displays a list of hosting packages that have been purchased. From this page, you can update package or purchase a domain. 9.3 Advanced Tools This section allows you to view all applications you have purchased. You can filter the view by selecting one of the category links at the top or you can click Show more at the bottom of the page to see all available applications. When the new window opens, you can choose from various Apps/Tools by choosing to view ALL or a specific category. Tiles for the tools are color coded based on their category. Note that only available tools based on product plan and purchases will be shown. 9

9.4 Web Tools The Web Tools Category provides a list of applications to assist in the building of your website. Following is a summary of the most frequently used web tools. 9.5 EasySiteWizard Pro (for existing customers) EasySiteWizard Pro is an intuitive website builder that allows you to easily design, edit and maintain your own website. Featuring the latest in design functionality and an elite selection of high-quality website templates, this powerful site builder is perfect for a user with no HTML experience or an advanced user who is looking for enhanced features and flexibility. The dynamic drag-and-drop functionality makes it remarkably easy for you to position text and images, and the indexed library of over 40,000 FREE web-ready images gives you the power to add variety and to generate visual interest. Whether you choose a pre-built template or build your site from scratch, EasySiteWizard Pro lets you create an online presence in minutes. 10

9.6 WordPress Installer WordPress is an easy-to-use weblog system, providing numerous features like categories, ratings, as well as plugins installation. This installer application will easily install the WordPress tool to a directory that you specify within your web services account. 9.7 File Manager Pro File Manager Pro allows you to take full control of your website files. It is a safe alternative to full shell access. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change file permissions, and upload files from your local computer to the server. 9.8 FTP Manager FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a UNIX service that has become an essential feature of the Internet. FTP is a communications protocol that allows for easy, efficient, and accurate transfer of files from computer to computer across a network or, in this case, from our end users computer (local location) across the Internet to a web server (remote location). 10 Template Gallery Advanced Template Manager offers a stunning collection of professionally designed website templates created for users and developers who demand a sophisticated and highly customized business site without the high-end site designer s price tag. You can choose from thousands of templates, all of which can be downloaded from your WebsiteOS interface quickly and easily. These media-rich templates incorporate the latest design enhancements (like Flash) and are compatible with popular HTML editing tools such as FrontPage and Dreamweaver, making it easy for you to personalize the site to your needs. 11

11 Email There are two web tools in the Email section. 11.1 EasyMail Setup EasyMail Setup allows you to create, delete, and manage email accounts. You can also create alias accounts, which are account names that have no storage space and must forward to another address. Spam filtering, Autoresponders, and a catch-all email address can also be configured. 11.2 Email Marketing Email Marketing allows you to create and send graphically-rich and compelling HTML emails through the Create Email Wizard. Combining professional-quality HTML email templates with email management tools, Email Marketing provides an enhanced option for you to communicate with your subscriber base. 12

12 Social and Promote There are two web tools in the Social and Promote section. 12.1 Social Stream Social Stream is one of the Web s most widely-used communication tools. This application allows you to manage all of your social media from one place. With Social Stream, you can post an update to multiple sites, view a list of followers for each site and view your comment history for each site. 12.2 EasySiteOptimizer Search engine optimization (SEO) for websites is critical to the success of any online business. Search engines list optimized sites ahead of non-optimized sites when conducting their searches. EasySiteOptimizer helps you improve your site s search ranking performance. An easy to-use wizard guides you through the steps required by all major search engines to submit your site, so it can be found by potential customers and listed higher on search engine result pages. Useful functions include: keyword creation; site analysis; submission to popular search engines; and search rank position reporting. Use the free organic/natural search engine results through SEO resulting in more site visitors and more revenue. 13

13 Utilities There are many useful web tools in the Utilities section. 13.1 DNS Manager DNS Manager allows users to edit their domain s zone file, including A (address) records, CNAME (canonical name) records and MX (mail exchange) records. 13.2 Log Manager The Log Manager allows the end user to obtain raw server logs for their site activity and traffic. Activity Logs are enabled by default. End users can view and/or delete, print, download, and date their log files. They may disable logging altogether to conserve their disk space. Note: By disabling Activity Logs, Web Stats will only display results of the 12 most recent logs available. 13.3 Windows Services The Windows Services Enabler allows the use of ASP, ASP.net, ColdFusion and ColdFusion MX files on the end users domain. Our systems will process these files correctly only after enabling the appropriate service on the domain. If the end user has an SSL certificate installed on their domain, secure services can also be enabled using the Windows Services Enabler. 14

14 General - Account Information The Account Information section is displayed on the Home page. You can edit this information by clicking the Manage Account. 1 TO EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS: 1. Click General. 2. In the Personal Details section, click Edit and modify the fields, as required. To Edit the Username/Email Address: On the Home page, click Manage Account. In the Username/Email Address section, click Edit and modify the fields, as required. 1. Click Save. 2 TO EDIT THE PASSWORD: 1. On the Home page, click Manage Account. 2. In the Password section, click Edit and enter your new password. 3. Click Save. 15

15 Where to find Help/Instructions AT&T Website Solutions includes a number of applications and tools that you can use with your website. Help/Instructions on how to use each of these features are located in the top right of your control panel. For specific help for each application together with instructions, select the application you want in the control panel and click the help button in the top right corner. 15.1 How to Contact Support by email Submit a ticket by email: support@websites.att-mail.com For support issues, please also include a step-by-step on how to replicate your problem including your operating system, browser type and version, and any links and login information that may be needed to duplicate and correct the reported issue. 15.2 How to Contact Support in your control panel / Online Presence Portal When in your control panel (Online Presence Portal), we provided various ways to contact us. When in your control panel, mouse over the Question Mark icon for help. We also have a Resource Center webpage: http://webhosting.att.com/resource-center where you can find guides, blogs and videos as well as provide feedback. 15.3 How to Contact Support by phone You may also reach us by dialing 888.WEB.HOST (888.932.4678). Our Technical Support staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; choose the tech support option. Our billing group is available Monday - Friday 8 a.m. 8 p.m. (Eastern); select the billing option. All questions concerning billing, renewal or cancellation should be directed here.
