9. KOHA CATALOGUING FEATURES FOR JOURNAL The cataloguing and serials control modules of Koha, its own design and architecture. Both modules are connected to each other. MARC Management: Koha provides Several frameworks can be defined to do journals. Export/import: Importing records in ISO2709 format and through Z39.50 for fast cataloguing. Copy records: One or more copy records can be attached to each bibliographic record. Fast Cataloging: To accelerate cataloging Koha provides management of MARC record reservoir in ISO2709 format, A Z39.50 client that can access several Z39.50 servers. MARC view and simple view: Catalogue data can be displayed n MARC format. Searching: Searches can be performed on any MARC field. Advanced functions, search on one word, the beginning of the field, greater than, less than etc. are also available.
9.1 KOHA CATALOGUING FEATURES FOR JOURNAL Before start of journal cataloging in KOHA, do some basic setups Please enter the information about new tag: enter a MARC field, MARC field tag number enter the text that will appear in the staff client when open in the cataloguing module enter the text that will appear in the OPACwhen open in the MARC format of the record if you want this field can be repeated, please check the box if you want this field can be mandatory, please check the if you select a value here, the indicators will be limited to the authorized value list If you put-up the information about new tag, click Save Changes.

13. CONCLUSION In the academic library setup, journal management is the process of delivering and serving its users in exact time at a quicker mode to save the reader s time. The Koha is one of the best web enabled open source software for library automation and Journal Management. The analysis of Journals through Koha Serial module, Koha has built on open source era and it is easy to install and apply for use. The study reports discuss to each modules of cataloguing and serials control of Koha, Both modules are connected to each other. Koha more enhanced features which are important for selecting cataloguing administration module for journal management. As a result, Koha serial module is advanced and new features for Journal catalogue management, e-resource management, back volume periodicals management based on library needs.
