Section A: Overview A-1. Benefit of using Honeywell Home Solution Honeywell is a worldwide manufacturing leader which provides varies products in different markets. System integrators and users can take the advantages of using our most updated technologies and services. A-2. Functions of HS-6000 Home Control (HS-6300) HS-6000 series is one of our major video phone product line. It provides a wall-mounted home controller with 5 TFT LCD display and hand-free conversation. With its multiple control interfaces, users can have different choices of controlling its functions. Some of the HS-6000 functions are listed as below. Built-in number keys and function key; Touch Screen panel for home control and setup (HS-6300); Interface with Sub-phone, Kitchen-phone, Bath phone, Guard phone and Lobby phone; Normal phone calling via PSTN network; Support up to 2/ 4 Burglar Alarm Zones; Support Alarm away mode; Auto-dialing to pre-set phone numbers for Burglar Alarm triggering (HS-6300); A-3. Functions of Vista Alarm Panel (Vista-120) Vista series alarm panel provides from minimum 6 alarm zones up to 250 zones, and it offers the users high flexibility in different applications by adding the accessories. Section B: System Configuration B-1. Customer Requirements in Red Hill Peninsula Red Hill Peninsula is one of luxurious villas in Hong Kong. The size of individual house is around 3,000 ft 2, and it includes three different floors. Per the home user s request, they would like to have the touch screen video phone system with security and lighting control functions. In order to suit their requirements, HS-6300 video phone system and Vista-120 alarm system had been selected. HS-6300 can provide video and audio communication function, whereas Vista-120 offers the security and lighting control sections. June, 2006 Page 4 of 11
B- 2 Basic Components of Home Control System To achieve the functions of video phone communication, lighting control and alarm monitoring, the equipments listed below are designed for the environment of Red Hill Peninsula. At the main entry, a door camera (HC-6000) is installed for calling all types of video phones within the building. At the ground floor, a main video phone (HS-6300) acts as the door entry monitoring station which would always be able to view any visitors from the door camera. In the 2 nd and 3 rd floors, each of the floor would have a sub-phone (HS-4500S) to answer the call from the visitors at door camera side. At each of the main video phone and sub-phone, a 6270 touch screen keypad would be installed to perform the functions of arming/disarming the security system, controlling each individual lighting and voice recording. B-3 System Diagram In the following system diagram, it includes all the requested products for the Red Hill Peninsula. Some of the equipments or units can be upgraded to increase the total system capacity and functionality in the future. The HS-6300 terminal board acts as a interface between the other sub-phone units and door camera. And the Vista alarm panel would be placed in the store room to perform security monitoring and lighting control functions. June, 2006 Page 6 of 11
B-4 Applications of Honeywell Home Control System 1) Visitor call answering from door camera From the HS-6300 Main Video Phone - When there is a visitor pressing the button on the HC-6000 door camera, the screen of the HS-6300 will pop-up the video with the audio alert automatically. Home user can press the Door button to answer the call. From the HS-4500S Sub-phone - When there is a visitor pressing the button on the HC-6000 door camera, the Door Camera LED of HS-4500S will be switched on with the audio alert automatically. Home user can press the Door Camera button to answer the call. June, 2006 Page 7 of 11
2) Door Entry Monitoring When the home user would like to monitor the outdoor environment at the door entry, they can press the Door button of the HS-6300 or the Door Camera button of the HS-4500S. The HC-6000 door camera would be switched on, and the user can view the environment via the LCD display. The HC-6000 door camera has built-in light sensor and additional white light LED. At night, the light source would be switched on automatically, so that the home user can view the visitors in dark environment Light Sensor White Light LED June, 2006 Page 8 of 11
3) Lighting Control For the 6270 alarm panel, it can support the ON/OFF switching for all the lighting control as a single platform. Home user can switch on all the lights at the home when he presses the On button on the touch screen panel. The whole system can support up to 32 lighting switches. June, 2006 Page 9 of 11
4) Security Control Vista-120 supports up to 120 alarm zones. The alarm signal can be coming from PIR motion sensors and door/window contact sensors. With the 6270 touch screen keypad, the home user can easily arm or disarm the security system by just pressing a single button with password. When Vista system receives the alarm signal, it can trigger the local buzzer for audio alert and then send the alarm signal to the Central Monitoring Station via telephone line. 5) Voice Recording 6270 alarm keypad provides the built-in voice recording function. Before a home user leaves his home, he can leave a short voice message to the other home users. Multiple voice messages can be recorded per each individual keypad, and total time of all the messages should not be more than 120 seconds. When there is any new voice message, there would be an indication from the Message LED, and it would be in blinking stage. June, 2006 Page 11 of 11
