What is a SRD operating in ISM band? According to the ETSI standard a SRD (Short Range Devices) is a wireless communication device, with frequencies from 25 MHz to 40 GHz, that offer a low risk of interference with other radio services, usually because their transmitted power, and hence their range, is low The ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) bands are unlicensed frequencies regulated by the ITU-R. Most used bands for M2M applications are 433, 868, 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz Most of M2M Applications require network capabilities and low power consumptions ISM EU and US Regulations REC70-03, ETSI EN 300 220-1 FCC CFR 47 Part 15 2

When several devices-sensors present in a restricted and defined area have to be connected, the use of a point-to-point comunication technology (for istance cellular network) can be not economically profitable However, when there are many devices-sensors defined areas also spread in a wide area, the two networks shown the full complementarity and provides the best solution when GAS METERING PROJECT in ITALY Av.
