All our postgraduate programmes open up a wide range of options for employment in relevant professions around the world. We have our own dedicated Careers Development Advisor who offers specialist advice and one-to-one coaching to help you prepare for the employment process. She can advise on everything from preparing your CV to finding internships and permanent employment. Planning We have been offering postgraduate Planning education for more than 35 years. We have the expertise and experience to deliver programmes that are highly respected both by our alumni and by employers. Our postgraduate Planning programmes offer you an innovative and creative blend of theory and application in planning and development. Conservation of the Historic Environment Flexible Real Estate & Planning now delivers the successful and long running MSc Conservation of the Historic Environment. The programme will enable you to gain the academic and professional competencies you need to succeed in this field. Your learning is based around personal study, interactive workshop sessions, practical demonstrations and site visits. Each module draws upon the specialist knowledge and skills of a number of outstanding experts. MSc Real Estate Finance The MSc Real Estate Finance programme will help you understand real estate in the context of the international financial markets. It is designed to prepare you for a career in finance or investment management where you will be required to evaluate property investments against equity, fixed income and other financial derivative products. The flexibility of this programme also prepares you to pursue a more general career within the finance and real estate sectors. How it works This programme is offered jointly with our specialist finance faculty at Henley Business School, the ICMA Centre. MSc in International Planning & Sustainable Urban Management The MSc International Planning & Sustainable Urban Management (IPSUM) programme is designed to prepare you for a career in urban planning and management by upgrading your knowledge and skills in a range of disciplines. It will give you an international, interdisciplinary and industryfocused perspective in planning. How it works The programme allows for the development of both theoretical and practical learning through a mix of teaching techniques that are both classroom and field-based. MSc International Housing Development & Management The MSc International Housing Development & Management is designed for those working in, or planning to work in the fields of residential development and management. It is designed to give you the necessary academic knowledge and skills to be able to work in any national context and to see the residential sector in the context of real estate development and management more generally. How it works The programme will give you an introduction to the general processes of urbanisation and the governance of urban spaces that set the context for residential development and management. The housing system is examined from an economic and a policy framework in order to develop your understanding of the factors that impact on the success of new housing developments. The programme is inter-disciplinary, incorporating economics, finance and sociological perspectives on housing development and management processes. You will undertake a dissertation on a topic of your choice which will enhance your analytical skills and give practice in applying inter-disciplinary analysis to a real world problem.
