JOB DESCRIPTION This job category includes personnel involved at: operational level with - (a) (b) the provision of professional and technical support in the undertaking of comprehensive research, formulation, interpretation and development of policies, analysis and administration functions, international co-operation, agro marketing and trade development, development of agro business planning of Ministerial programs, development of co-operative business, maintenance of management information systems for the Ministry, coordination and harmonization of functions and programs of the Ministry including State owned Enterprises, and bilateral multi-lateral trading partners; drafting and implementation of bi-lateral and multi-lateral agreements, advising on agricultural trade positions, the identification, drafting of sectoral policies, international agreements, by laws and Ministerial directives, rendering specialized advice on agricultural trade positions, business development strategies and sectoral performance and the conducting of efficiency and authorization audits for co-operatives. Note- Duty Sheets: The main objective of the job description is to define post levels to create posts, and not necessarily to establish detailed duty sheets. Detailed duty sheets are still to be compiled by the individual offices, ministries and agencies for various posts and kept supplementary to the job description for practical application. 2. Overhead Supervisory This level includes personnel who supervise and manage/give practical guidance to various occupation related, supervisory and operational staff. 1 1
