This will represent time commitment, where online students are expected to possess excellent time management skills with self-discipline. R.6 Areas of Specialization (a) The online MBA programme at NITAP is made keeping in view the industry dynamics and the changing economic scenario of the world. MBA is a two year, semester based (4 semesters) programme with industry internships resulting in a structured project at the end of each year.

Students are required to complete a core subjects, inclusive of elective subjects. The syllabus is updated constantly based on industry requirements. Specialisations would be on the followings areas:- Marketing Finance HRM Systems NIT Arunachal offers online MBA programme. The curriculum is constantly updated to be in touch with the dynamic global and Indian environment. Learning is further enhanced by information technology that connects students to resources and data around the globe. The approach to management education is founded on continuous innovation, development of practical knowledge and a relentless commitment to academic excellence. (b) Accessing the Classes The courses offered online MBA programmes are asynchronous in general, where the students have the access to their respective professors lectures 24X6 and are not required to log on a specific time of the day. It also means students often have the opportunity to fast-forward or rewind video or audio files of the lectures, which is helpful for taking notes or understanding material. Depending on the specific Professor, one may participate in Web conferencing related to your course work that requires online at a certain time, but that is the only exception but not the rule. Alternatively one might be online at a certain time for Web conferencing or chat with classmates for group projects. The benefit of asynchronous online lectures is to have access all of them at a time of the day of the schedule may be in the morning or midnight. This flexibility is comfortable for working adults with families who can t commit to a campus-based programme give away the obligation of other responsibilities. When you log on your course management system, you will see all the classes are currently taking, even you may to access the entire syllabus, including the lectures/week, assignments and links to get updated study guides and material from the respective professor. The classes are online discussion boards where students talk about the material as the professors proceed with the instruction. After completing the assignment, the student may email the file directly to their professor or upload it to a drop box embedded in the course management system. (c) Completing Examinations and Group Assignments Exams are posted to the course site. These tests may be timed or proctored via webcam. Timed online exams may be delivered through a system that does not permit students to leave the

testing screen to potentially surf the Web for answers. Some professors do require an online MBA student s presence on campus for proctored exams, but a stipulation like this will be made clear in the syllabus. Often alternative arrangements can be made for those who cannot make campus visits, online ones ask students to demonstrate their knowledge of the material through essays, research papers and individual and group projects. Group projects are learning how to communicate and divided up the work. This helps prepare students for the real world. Connecting With Instructors and Classmates The MBA students don t miss out on interaction with any students/ Professors even if they don t meet each others. Professors and students communicate via instant message, email, phone, Web conferencing and online discussion boards. Such discussion boards are the primary way an online professor assesses a student s class participation. Instead of being put on the spot in a traditional MBA course, online students have time to think through their answers. Many professors who teach online classes set up virtual office hours, during which a student can call or instant message to talk in real time. (d) Reading Materials & Class modalities: The textbooks and supplies for online classes are selected by the professor which might include traditional textbooks, e-textbooks, CD-ROMs, workbooks and other supplementary materials. Everything you will need will be included in your syllabus and course description. The specific classes vary from programme to programme, but overall you can expect to take courses focusing on finance, accounting, management, marketing, organizational behaviour, leadership, global or international business, and technology. Class schedule: The course coordinator prepares the timetable of classes before the starting the programme starts in each term.no cancellation of classes or re scheduling in the timetable is permitted even any deviation is not allowed, however in emergency, it is done with approval of the Head. A suitable class session is arranged to make up for any session that was missed in an emergency situation. Given the pedagogy and schedule, regular attendance in the classroom sessions is mandatory. R.8.
