Installing the Citrix Online Plug-In If you are a first-time user accessing NeoSystems Citrix environment, you are required to install a small program on your computer. This program will enable you to access your published applications inside NeoSystems Citrix environment (Costpoint, GCS Premier, etc.). Please follow the steps below to install the Citrix Online Plug-In. Important: You must have Administrative access to the workstation or laptop in order to successfully complete the following steps. Step 1: Click on the following link to download and run the program: Citrix Online Plug-In Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Citrix Online Plug-in software on the target workstation or laptop. NOTE: If you re using a MAC, just click on the following link to begin the installation of the citrix MAC client and take all the defaults. You can optionally save the citrix MAC client to your local drive if you want: Citrix MAC client v.11.2 Once you have successfully performed the above steps, please follow the steps below to access NeoSystems Citrix environment. Step 1: Navigate to your Company s Client Tools page. Your Company s administrator should provide you with this link. (Please bookmark this link and always navigate to this link to launch your NeoSystems applications.) Step 2: At your Company s Client Tools page, click on the Productivity Tools link. Step 3: At the Welcome screen, enter the following information provided by NeoSystems or your Company s administrator: User Name: NeoSystems or your Company s administrator will provide you with your user name. Password: NeoSystems or your Company s administrator will provide you with your default initial password. Domain: Always leave the default domain selected as: us
Users will be required to change their Citrix passwords upon initial login. Citrix passwords must meet the following minimum requirements: Passwords may not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters. Passwords must be at least six characters in length. Passwords must contain characters from three of the following four categories: - English uppercase characters (A through Z) - English lowercase characters (a through z) - Base 10 digits (0 through 9) - Non-alphabetic characters (for example,!, $, #, %) Step 4: Once logged into Citrix, click on the Client Applications folder, then the appropriate Client Apps folder. Next, click on the appropriate application icon to log into the application. Your Company s administrator will provide you with your default User ID and Password to login. How to Verify Your Citrix Permissions to Save to Your Desktop:. 1. During the citrix client installation, you may be prompted for session security. Select Full Access and Never Ask Me Again When trying to save a file to your C drive or Desktop within a Citrix application, you must have the Citrix access permissions set to allow Full Access to your local drives. You can verify this in your citrix session. Follow the steps below: 2. Right-click on the Citrix Icon in your taskbar and then left-click on Open Connection Center 3. Next, click on the server name you re connected to (it will start with CHIVMMFxx where xx is a series of 2 numbers) 4. On the right, click on the Files button under Session Security and verify/select Full Access.
How to Save a File within a Citrix Application to your local C: drive (Desktop): 1. When you are in a Citrix application and go to save a file, you will select C$ on Client (V:) from the Save in: drop down. Select that option and then click on the Save button to save the file to your Local C: drive:
2. To navigate to your local Desktop, for example, do not use the Desktop icon in the Save in list. Instead, navigate to C$ on Client (V:). Click on the Users folder.
