When scanning your Quarantine Report you should be looking for false positives, such as email newsletters that you subscribe to, etc., which should be added to your ALLOW list via the Quarantine Report. NOTE: You can also login to the Premium Anti Spam Portal by clicking on the click here link at the bottom of the Quarantine Summary. *** DO NOT add spam already caught by the Premium Anti Spam Spam Report to your DENY list. Premium Anti Spam has already done its job in this instance so there is no need to clutter your Deny list with emails that the service is already filtering. You will want to ADD to your DENY list those emails that are NOT caught by the Premium Anti Spam service and are still being delivered to your mailbox but you want to block them from delivery.

Premium Anti-Spam End User s Guide / Reporting SPAM Page 9 of 10 Reporting SPAM Although Apptix s Premium Anti Spam is 98%+ effective in filtering SPAM, certain SPAM emails will pass thru the filters. On these occasions, follow the steps outlined below. 1. Contact Apptix client support. You will need a copy Internet headers as they will need to be reviewed by a technician to ensure the email/spam flowed through Premium Anti Spam. To obtain the headers, in Outlook right click on the offending email Options (or Message Options) & the Message Options box will appear (See Figure 1 7 below). Figure 1 7
Premium Anti-Spam End User s Guide / Reporting SPAM Page 10 of 10 2. Copy & paste the entire contents of the Internet headers box & send them by email to clientsupport@hostaccount.com. 3. If Apptix client support determines that the SPAM did not flow through Premium Anti Spam s servers, options will be discussed. Should it be determined that the SPAM did make it through the Premium Anti Spam filters, it will be necessary to forward a copy of the SPAM email to spam@mxlogic.com along with any attachments and the Internet headers. Threat Management personnel will analyze the email to refine filtering options & apply the updates necessary to support filtering these emails properly. NOTE: You may NOT expect a response to any SPAM forwarded to MXLOGIC. 4. Alternatively, you can add the sending email address and or domain of the spammer to your Deny list as referenced above.
