NOTES FOR PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES SEPTEMBER 2016 NON SPONSORED STUDENTS PAYING A DEPOSIT Should you be successful in your application you will need to keep this information with your final confirmation letter for visa purposes Why am I being asked to pay a deposit? Teesside University requires you to pay a deposit to assist you in getting a visa. This payment is part of a process which shows your commitment to come to Teesside to study and also helps you demonstrate to the UK Home Office, Visas & Immigration that you have the funds to study in the UK. By charging deposits, Teesside University shows the UK Home Office that we only issue firm offers to students who we believe have a genuine intention to study here. Deposit prior to receiving the final offer letter Your conditional offer confirms that a deposit of 4000 of your net tuition fee is payable to Teesside University before we are able to send a final (Unconditional) Offer Letter which you will need to apply for your visa. When we have received your deposit payment and you have met all of your academic conditions we will send you the final (Unconditional) Offer Letter. If you arrange to pay by Bank Transfer, you should allow at least 3 weeks in advance of the enrolment date for the transfer to reach its destination, and you should quote your Student ID (Student/Applicant number found on your Offer Letter) clearly on any correspondence. To help you calculate what you need to pay, we have set out the tuition fees in a table and instructions on how to make the payment below. Please note: that, in accordance with the UK Home Office, all students must show 1,015 per month towards the Tier 4 visa maintenance requirement (living expenses) for the duration of their course or 9 months, whichever is shorter. Dependents must show 680 per month up to a maximum of 9 months.
