Databases Word Versions MS Sql-Server version 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012 Oracle version 10g, 11g and 12c. The installation of the 32bit Oracle client is necessary for the Document Composition server and the Studio to access an Oracle database. The original release of the Oracle 10g database does not support full-text search in docx files. When using this database product, the full-text search in docx files related to text blocks and documents does not produce the expected results. Oracle drivers: o Microsoft Oracle Oracle Data Provider for.net 32 bit ODAC 11.2 Release 3 (11.2.0.2.1) or higher Word 2007 SP3 with installed VBA Word 2010 with installed VBA Word 2013 with installed VBA All text administrators should use the same Word version. When not using the same Word version as the end user, the text administrator should use a lower Word version compared to the end user. When using a higher version than the end user regardless to recommendations, the text administrator must observe these limitations: The text administrator must use the next following Word version compared to the end user. The text administrator must not use Word features which in result can not be shown by the Word version used by the end user. For more information refer to the documentation of your Word versions. Virtual Systems Virus Scanners You can deploy the Document Composition on virtual machines running on operating systems mentioned above. The virtual environments must be correctly configured. Virus scanner activities can have adverse effects on Perceptive Document Composition production environments. These adverse effects may result in reduced processing performance or termination of critical transactions. To avoid disruption to operations, you must verify the effective range of virus scanner activity so that there is minimum impact on Perceptive Document Composition production environments.
