1. Installing the Server Center SC-203 (1) Check the product content of Server Center SC-203 (its alias including: Media Server, Magic Box, Gateway, Gateway Server, SC-203HD) you have received before installing it. Each product kit should contain the following parts: (1)One SC-203 unit (2)One 12VDC Power adapter (A power adapter consists of power supply and power cord) (3)Two dipole antennas (4) One Quick Installation Guide, such as this one (2) Screw-in the two antennas onto your SC-203. The antennas stand vertically in general (3) Insert the network cable of your ADSL/cable modem into the WAN port (labeled on the rear panel of the device) of SC-203. (4) Insert the DC connector of the power adapter into the DC +12V input of your SC-203 and plug the power adapter into the wall power inlet. Push the Power button on the 2
front panel. After a while, the power LED would be steadily on. (5) Check the WAN port LED to see if it is ON or blinking. If the LED is off, reset the gateway power or reset ADSL/Cable modem until the WAN LED is ON or blinking. (6) When you see the following LEDs in normal status, it means your gateway is ready to use. Power: on WAN: on or blinking LAN: on HDD: on (7) You can find the default settings of SC-203 shown on the label which can be found on the bottom of unit, such as IP address: 192.168.5.1 MAC id: 00-0A-C7-XX-XX-XX SSID: wg203 (8) SC-203 supports Web UI. If you want to change the settings, have one PC connect to the LAN port of SC-203. Open PC browser, typing http://192.168.5.1. Then login. User name: admin Password: admin (A complete User s Manual can be found on the web-site http://www.uni-wlan.com) Warning: Always use Power button on the front-panel o turn-off power, don t plug-out the DC power directly. 3
2. Installing the PSTN Gateway WG-205 (1) WG-205 product kit should contain the following parts: (1)One WG-205 unit (2)One 5VDC Power adapter (3)One RS232 console cable (4)One Quick Installation Guide, such as this one (2) You can use an Ethernet cable to connect the WG-205 s WAN port to any one of the SC-203 s LAN ports (LAN1-LAN4). (3) Connect a regular phone set to the TEL port of WG-205. (4) If you want your VoIP network connecting to PSTN network, connect the exterior telephone line to the LINE port of WG-205 (the other end to the central office or PBX). (5) Power on WG-205 until you see the following LEDs in normal state : WAN 100: on STATUS: steadily on It means your VoIP gateway has successfully registered to the SC-203 VoIP server. If LED STATUS is blinking, please reset the SC-203 then WG-205. You can check the regular phone which has dial tone. (6) You can find the default settings of WG-205 are shown on the label : IP address: 192.168.5.100 MAC id: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX TEL port number: 701# LINE port number: 702# (7) WG-205 supports Web UI. If you want to change the settings, have one PC connect to the LAN port of SC-203. Open PC browser, typing http://192.168.5.100. Then login. 3. Installing the U-Phone (1) The product content includes : (1)U-phone unit, (2)in-charge power adapter (2) Power on U-Phone by pushing the button on the up-left side about 3-5 seconds until you see WiFi Phone Please Wait... message shown on screen. (3) You can find the default settings of U-Phone are shown on the label : MAC id: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX SSID: wg203 (My VoIP phone number 703 shown on the screen directly; the Registrar and Proxy server is set to SC-203 LAN IP 192.168.5.1) (4) If you want to change the settings, enter Menu to do that (similar to setting a regular cell phone). For instance, change the VoIP server address, my VoIP phone number, or SSID. (5) U-Phone will be ready for service by its default setting. Then SC-203 s WLAN light will be on. Please check if the following icons are displayed on screen. It means you have successfully registered to server. Make a VoIP-to-VoIP Call (1) Hang up the regular phone on WG-205. You can hear the dial-tone. (2) On the regular phone, dial 703#. Then U-Phone will ring, and you can hear the ring-back tone on the regular phone. (3) U-phone answers the call, then start talking. (4) Pick up the phone call from any side. (5) U-Phone can make a call by dialing 701# 5. Make a VoIP-to-PSTN Call (1) On U-Phone, dial 702# the PSTN line of WG-205. Then you can hear the PSTN dial tone. (2) Please go ahead dialing the phone number (22999678) or cell phone number (0912089436) as you do on regular phone. 5
