Savanna (Grassland) Africa Zebra Zebras are herbivores with black and white stripes to help camouflage them in the African savannas. Rain Forest Africa Gorilla Gorillas are herbivores and live in the tropical rainforests of Africa. Lowland gorillas are endangered.

Lions are carnivores and are known as the "king of the beasts". Savanna (Grassland) Africa Lion Penguins are carnivores with their food supply krill, squid and small fish. Most live in cold climates. Antarctica and Southern Hemisphere Penguin

Salt Water Oceans Seal Seals are mammals that spend most of their time diving in the ocean for fish and squid. All but one species live in salt water. Mountain Steppes Asia Yak Yaks are herbivores that live in Central Asia. Most are domesticated or used by farmers.

Desert Native to Africa and Asia Camel One-humped camels live in the deserts of Africa and two-humped camels live in the deserts of Asia. They are herbivores. Mountains and Forest Asia Panda Giant pandas are herbivores that eat only bamboo and live in the forests of China. They are endangered because their habitat is disappearing.

Grassland Asia and Africa Water Buffalo Water buffalo in Asia are domesticated. They like to stand in rivers and ponds where they eat grass. Fresh and Salt Water Near the Equator Crocodile Crocodiles are reptiles that live in fresh and salt water. They are carnivores and are found on all of the continents except Antarctica and Europe.

Deciduous Forest Australia Koala Bear Koala Bears are herbivores that live in eucalyptus forests in Australia. They are marsupials. Desert and Grassland Australia Kangaroo Kangaroos are the largest marsupial animals. They are herbivores that live in deserts and grasslands in Australia.

Forest Tasmania Tasmanian Devil Tasmanian devils are carnivorous marsupials about the size of raccoons with powerful jaws and teeth for crushing bones. They live in Tasmania, an island south of Australia. Forest North America, South America Porcupine New World porcupines are herbivores with barbed quills for protection that live in caves, dens and hollow logs in forests.

Forest Native to Europe, Africa, Asia Wild Boar Wild boars are omnivores. They are wild pigs that run fast and also swim. Tundra North America White Rabbit (Arctic Hare) The name is arctic hare and their color camouflages them in the snowy tundra. They are herbivores and eat berries, grasses, and twigs.

Tundra Europe, North America, Asia Reindeer Reindeer are herbivores that graze on moss and lichens on the tundras. In North America they are called caribou. Forest North America Beaver North American Beavers are herbivores that live on the banks and in rivers and lakes where they can gnaw down trees to make dams.

Forest, Grassland, Desert North America, South America Rattle Snake Rattlesnakes are poisonous carnivorous reptiles that can be found in the forests, grasslands, and deserts of North and South America. Coniferous Forest North America Grizzly Bear Grizzly bears are large omnivores that live in forests and grasslands of the northern United States and Canada. They eat berries, grasses, fish and smaller animals.

Rain Forest Central America, South America, Asia, Africa Monkey Monkeys live in deciduous and tropical forests. Most are herbivores but some eat insects and small animals. Mountain South America Llama Llamas are from the Andes mountains in South America. They are often domesticated and used to carry loads.
