Galileo Avionica - Space & Electro-Optics B.U. INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY STARTING FAR AWAY Since 1864 G. Battista Amici, astronomer in Florence, establishes the first laboratory of optical manufacturing in Italy, TODAY Electro-Optical technology installed on board of satellites, airplanes, ship, surface vehicles, for observation and target identification (objects, physical elements) in all wheather and day/night conditions. GALILEO Avionica, a Finmeccanica Company, is operating in the avionic and space sectors since the early sixties, developing products for research and application Programmes.
