Turoa Staff Options RAL have a number of lodges that we open up to staff for the winter season. Each are unique in there own ways and are a great place to call home. The accommodation options are located in the main hub of Ohakune. We currently have 100 beds for Turoa Staff in 3 different venues in Ohakune: Turoa Lodge, Wye Street and Hidden Valley. The Accommodation Coordinator will allocate rooms to employees, please fill out the application form (Application form) as soon as you have a job offer. Let us know what location you would like live at and whether you would like a single room or would like to share. If you have a friend or partner that you would like to share with then as long as they work for the mountain we can allocate you both a room. If we don't know this information from the get-go we will choose a room-mate for you. The team will try their best to get you into your first choice however numbers are limited so get in quick. There are a couple of things you need to know before you apply: You will need enough money for a refundable bond of 2 weeks rent, key deposit of $50 as well as 2 weeks rent in advance (we find it is best to put aside at least NZD$700 to be on the safe side) Your tenancy is for the duration of your employment with the company - if you move out earlier than agreed you will forfeit your bond and 2 weeks rent If involved in a disciplinary action resulting in a dismissal you may loose the right to staff accommodation You must have an offer of employment before you are allocated a room You will find your rent becomes cheaper when you share a room. Payment Information The Bond and key deposit must be paid before you arrive at the accommodation. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! The bond will be lodged with The Department of Building and Housing. The payment options that you have will be via Credit Card or by a Bank deposit. The information will be included in the Accommodation Tenancy Agreement that will be sent to you when you have been allocated a room. We have 2 options for you when it comes to paying your rent: Pay rent for your RAL contract term up front and get one weeks rent FREE (this is an awesome option if you don t want to worry about your rent all season) Payment will be deducted fortnightly (in advance) from your wage. Laundry and Linen There are laundry facilities on-site for your washing needs (some may be coin operated depending on site). You re welcome to bring your own linen for the season just check with the coordinator what size bed you will have as there are single to king sized beds on site and vary from room to room. Another option is a Linen Service where sheets and pillow cases, are hired and laundered. The cost of this is $5.00 per service.

We are currently updating the 2016 winter season pricing and will have this available closer to the winter season. The accommodation venues are outlined briefly below.
