LIGHTING TOWER LINE-UP JCB Power Products dealer Galadari Trucks & Heavy Equipment Co. have sold and delivered twenty-five JCB LT9 lighting towers to rental firm Al Faris Equipment Rental. AL Faris Rental are located in the United Arab Emirates and supply construction equipment to a range of customers, this includes a large fleet of JCB generators and lighting towers. Al Faris choose JCB LT9s for their high specification and easy to use hydraulic deployment system. The LT9 lighting towers offer any rental firm a great business opportunity. JCB GENERATOR POWERS DEALER OPEN DAY JCB Power Products dealer Abahsain kicked off the year with a customer open day at their headquarters in Al-Khobar. The customer event was held to promote and exhibit the JCB excavator, but included a range of other JCB products, including a wide-ranging selection of JCB generators and lighting towers. Included in the JCB product line-up were LTM9 s, LT9 s an LT9 LED lighting tower, as well as a G115QX, G550QX and G220X generators. Additionally, Abahsain used a G45QX for prime power to run the kitchen in the hospitality tent, as well as powering the electrics for all the presentations.
BRINKMANN & NIEMEIJER SUPPORT PHILIPINES RESCUE EFFORTS In addition to Brinkmann, JCB Power Products Filipino dealer Camec also delivered 120 petrol generators to the worst hit areas to help provide power to homes and businesses. In the first week of December, a dutch built mobile hospital was sent to the worst-hit area of the Philippines to bring medical relief to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. On November 8, 2013 the Philippines was hit by one of the worst storms ever reported, typhoon Haiyan, which reached wind speeds of more than 250 km/h and therefore can be categorised under the fifth and strongest category. Entire villages and cities are wiped out, trees were pulled out of the ground and roofs were blown off houses. The hospital is powered by a JCB G33QX generator, delivered and installed before the unit was dispatched by JCB Power Products distributor, Brinkmann & Niemeijer Motoren b.v. With the installation of solar panels and the JCB generator, the hospital is self-sufficient, as well as having its own water treatment system. Once the hospital is up and running, it can facilitate more than 2,000 operations annually.
SETTING HIRE STANDARDS This month, JCB Power Products exhibited with the JCB Compact Team at the 8th annual Executive Hire Show, held in Coventry at the Ricoh arena. The show was a resounding success with record attendance for both days, and a record number of exhibitors. JCB Power Products had a great impact with three products positioned on the stand, which included a G4GX petrol generator, a G61RX diesel generator and an LT9 LED lighting tower, which was plugged in to show the full impact of the LED bulbs. CFAO SUPPORT LOCAL EVENTS IN AFRICA DR CONGO Both CFAO Equipment and JCB Power Products generators supported the 11th International Show-jumping competition by providing the organisers of the event with two G220QX diesel generators. Held at the Cercle Hippique Equestrian Club in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, from 22nd to 24th November, the event helped to raise the profiles of both organisations, CFAO EQUIPMENT RDC and JCB Power Products. The generators supplied the event with constant power as well as ensuring the safety of all the trials, riders and their mounts. This equestrian event, which is very popular with the inhabitants of Kinshasa (almost 15,000 spectators over the weekend), received extensive media interest and the Grand Prize was broadcast live on state television. CAMEROON From 17 to 19 October, CFAO Equipment Cameroon welcomed more than 400 visitors to open days at its head office in Bonaberi. The aim was to position the subsidiary as a key player in industrial equipment in Cameroon. With the support of local advertising agency AG Partners, CFAO Equipment organised three open days to present its 400 guests with its product range which included JCB construction equipment as well as including lighting towers. The open days also included tours of CFAO s workshops to demonstrate the teams ability to supply spare parts and to carry out on-site machine maintenance.
A WELL-LIT GREEN This month, Ganatra Plant and Equipment based in Kenya, held a customer golf event to promote and exhibit JCB products. The golf event was held for Kenyan construction customers to promote all JCB products, including generators and lighting towers. Included in the display where a selection of petrol generators, and an array of lighting towers. Ganatra even extended the event into the evening to be able to showcase the full impact of the lighting towers; illuminating the green to maintain play late into the evening.
FLYING HIRE TAKES DELIVERY OF FOUR JCB LT9 S Rental company, Flying Hire added four new JCB LT9s to their fleet. The latest units have power tilt heads and the KS controllers, helping to offer easy to use rental equipment to minimise misuse. Flying Hire s lighting tower fleet all share the same key benefits and features. Maintaining the same standards, the four new LT9 units have photo cell control; timer function and power tilt heads, to complement the existing fleet of lights. Flying Hire specialise in offering lighting towers to events to illuminate car parks, entrances and exits, toilet blocks, footpaths and camping facilities. Each lighting tower also comes with two 16a socket outlets. This means at an event you could also power a cabin from the lighting tower. HEAVY INSTALLATION A G1660X Mitsubishi open generator has been supplied and installed by JCB Power Products dealer BH Botswana to the headquarters of First National Bank (FNB), located in Gaborone. The standby generator will be used for backup power should the power be lost, something which is a common occurrence in this area. The new FNB headquarters was built with a specially commissioned generator room to specifically house a generator of this size.

JCB GENERATORS SUPPORT MAJOR CHINESE BRIDGE PROJECT A 38km bridge in the South China Sea will form a fixed crossing over the Pearl River Estuary between Zhuhai and Macau on the western side and Hong Kong on the eastern side. This is the first major, combined, bridge and tunnel sea-crossing project in China, considered a vital link to prosperity in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region. Hong Kong rental company, Dynamic City have deployed JCB generators to construction sites working on the development of the Macau Bridge. LAMMA Kicking AGRICULTURE SHOW 2014 off the events season for 2014, JCB exhibited at the UK s leading farm machinery equipment and service show. Held in January each year, LAMMA is free to attend and regularly attracts up to 40,000 farmers from around the country and overseas. This year for the first time JCB Power Products joined the JCB Agricultural team to show and display an LT9 lighting tower, a G141QX diesel generator and a G4GX petrol generator. Despite the cold weather, the stand attracted lots of interest and helped to raise JCB Power Products profile within the agricultural industry across the UK.
JCB POWER PRODUCTS LAUNCHES NEW QS GENERATOR RANGE JCB Power Products is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new range of diesel generators. Powered by the JCB DIESELMAX engine, the new QS range are the very latest models to be added to the already successful and comprehensive portfolio of JCB generators and lighting towers. Over the last few months JCB Power Products have started to unveil the QS range to our dealers and customers globally, most recently unveiling a G115QS to the UK Dealer Principles and the French Agricultural dealers. SAVAGE PLANT HIRE ADDS FURTHER JCB LIGHTING TOWERS TO THEIR RENTAL FLEET Rental Firm Savage Plant Hire have extended their lighting tower fleet with three new LT9 lighting towers. From the moment they were delivered, Savage Hire has been able to hire the three units out, even deploying them to road improvements, which just happened to be outside JCB HQ in Rocester, Staffordshire. Rented by Balfour Beatty, the LT9 s were used to light the road whilst street lighting was out of action. Staffordshire County Council stipulated that the road had to be lit whilst the improvements were taking place, and the street lighting was not working. The three LT9 s fitted with four metal halide lamps provided enough light for work to continue into the night, as well as lighting the junction for all vehicles to pass safely.
RECORD NUMBERS FOR DATA CENTRE WORLD Last week, JCB Power Products exhibited at Data Centre World 2014. Held at the Excel in London over the 26th and 27th of February, JCB Power Products exhibited with JCB Power Products dealer Applied Power Engineering (APE) to showcase our products and APE s expertise within this specific industry. The show attracted lots of data centre professionals and a wide range of visitors interested in standby power for businesses in general. Together with the MTU generator and the eye-catching stand, the show proved to be a great success.
CENTRE STAGE FOR LT9 LED Last month, JCB France held a successful agricultural conference for the French Dealer Principles to launch new products and run through systems and process training. As part of the event, an LT9-LED was provided from the demo fleet to provide floodlighting for the launch of the new low cab Loadall (seen here in the photo).
