He received his Ph.D degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University, USA. He qualified as a Professional Accountant by passing Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK exams. He is a fellow (senior member) of ACCA. Dr. Omonuk has a vast experience in academia and accounting practice. He is currently an Associate Professor at the school of Accountancy, College of Business, Southern University Baton Rouge. He served as a faculty member at the American University of Nigeria and Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. At both universities, he was the Chair/Head Department of Accounting and a member of Senate.
