East Texas Professional Credit Union McLauchlin Scholarship Guidelines The education profession holds an endearing place in the history of East Texas Professional Credit Union. Our institution was founded in 1953 when 13 educators came together and pooled their resources in order to offer an alternative means of financial well-being for the common man. Although our field of membership has expanded to encompass many varied professions, education remains the heart of our organization. To further support individuals striving to change the lives of young people through teaching, East Texas Professional Credit Union began a scholarship program in 2001 - paying tribute to the Credit Union s founding president, A.R. McLauchlin. The East Texas Professional Credit Union Scholarship Program is now entering its sixteenth year of awarding deserving graduates financial assistance in pursuing their college goals. This opportunity could help make a deserving student s college dreams come true.
